What man has ever changed jobs because there were no eligible girls at his place of work? Yet hundreds of thousands of unwed girls quit their jobs each year with the frank statement to personnel directors: “All the men here are already married.”
An unmarried man makes a trip to a ski resort to ski, and if he meets an attractive woman on a ski slope, he regards that as an unexpected bonus. He attends a party—or turns down the invitation—after deciding whether or not he will have a good time, and considers the possibility of meeting a girl he wants to marry as incidental. And if a man attends church regularly, this is usually the result of family tradition or personal conviction—not because he knows that many men have met the women who became their wives at church or church socials.
In this, single men differ dramatically from unmarried women. Women without men head for ski resorts, parties—and often church—with one primary objective: to meet eligible men. . . .

Interesting article.

How many of the single men were in real need of psychiatric help... We see that here from time to time.

This Mentality of "Husband-Wife Material" and "wedding young and fast" is still prevalent in Middle-East/Asia/Africa and some cultural ethnic groups in North America (usually diaspora from above places of the world).

In China, there is a market for "damaged-good women" ...

What's a Chinese Damaged-Good Women? Unmarried Chinese Women by age 25.

Did you know there is a Chinese OLD dating app which is "rent a boyfriend" ?

Chinese Women over 25 are going to "rent a Chinese boyfriend" OLD to have guys act has their boyfriend so the Chinese Women will be left alone from the pressure "to marry, have a baby, take care of mom and dad in old age" .

So if you looking for extra income.. You could apply to be a "rental boyfriend" .

It's money in exchange of going to family gathering/events/online pics/faking you living together/faking the LTR.

Good article, research made by a woman in the 1960's. Why i mention it ? ... In the 1960's a woman doing PHD research at Ivy league US was quite uncommon/rare to say ... She was a 1% (women were not even 1% of university, and PHD are 1% of all universities).

In the article: you clearly see the stigmas of "being single" back in the days 1960.

Now being single is 50% of people (45% first house owner and rental). Single is a norm.

You also see how "a single guy" could "pass better" than a "single woman".

Like mentionned in the article: Being single was a disease enough to send you to the psychiatrist lol.

Also notice the Low ratio of Divorcée. Now, it's 50% too. I wonder if the " effect-results-points made" of the article are still relevant to today numbers

Yes, women have changed a lot, but so have men. Many men these days are not pursuing their degrees or a trade. They are at their parents' home playing video games and out of work. Many men are do not know how to take care of themselves. However, if you ask them a question about social media, they can assist. The modern men is turning in to women and modern women are turning into men. It seems roles are being reversed. I was out on another date on Saturday and she was telling me to get these apps, they are so cool. I said why? I do not do social media in my personal life. For business, I have the interns do that. Which, ironically are usually men (boys), but if we have one that comes in as a woman who's attractive, it's like bees to honey. I guess, in some ways, it's like some boys never grow up and become men.

Not saying men need women in order to grow up and become a real man. A real man knows how to take care of themselves in all aspects of life. That is work, education, health, shelter, food, retirement, etc. How many of you guys can say men these days can do this? Certainly not the majority. It has nothing to do with college, I think, unless you're becoming a doctor, lawyer or entering in another field (computer science, nurse, architect, etc) one doesn't need to go to college. Nothing wrong with the trades or becoming a cop or firefighter. But many have been feminized and thus there in lies the problem. FEMINSIM. And it is spreading to the modern man.

In the newspapers these days, you have alot of articles about "women and men education teacher" seeking to reform school to make it interesting for boys.

They acknowledge current éducation system is "feminized".
They acknowledge boys lose interest in éducation system at High School.

So what they brought for solutions:
1. Have more Male teachers
2. Create physical éducation space (like Sumo wrestling in the courtyard)
3. Start Manual projects (like building a robot/build a toy etc)
4. Have fathers more involved in school community (association, parent voluntering etc).. Cause only 15% of fathers are involved. While it's 80% of mothers
5. Have more "guy class-room" only.

It's so funny how the recommandations are actually stuff that existed in the 1900 to 1970's and was removed in the past 50 years.

Back in the days... School incluses 1hours to 2 hours of "gym" per day! Now it's like 1 hour per month!. Also, they had manual labor courses. Male teacher for male students etc.

Now, they want to bring it back

Évolution is all about repeating the past ;)

I think it's more about society blowing things out of proportion and swinging way too far to one side.

That's because there isn't enough work out there. And if everyone "learned a trade", there would just be a lot of tradesmen that couldn't find work.
