Argentina women

I recently moved to buenos aires and will be studying spanish here for 6 months. Iv only been here a week and i have noticed its pretty tough to approach women here (especially since my spanish is not the best yet) b/c they play very tough to get! I'v hit up the clubs and struck up random convos on the street, but nothin yet.

Does anybody have any advice on what to do out here to meet more women. I will be signing up for salsa classes, and also when classes start il have many more interections, but untill then and tips from experienced DJ's/travelers would be great!

The great part is once i start talkin to them and the situation is right they slowly melt over my accent and the fact that im a surfer from Cali, but i just need to get the convos going...

Good luck. I was there last year for semester abroad and not one of the 40+ guys in my group got so far as second base with them. Eventually I gave up and just dated Americans.

Also, people in BA especially do not give a sh1t that you're an American from Cali or anyplace else.

Having just said that, it may not sound like I'm in a position to offer advice, but what I always heard was BE AGRESSIVE to the point of what in America might get you arrested.

I think it's because latinas aren't really into white guys because they are seen as too feminine, a bit like how lebanese and iranian women view white guys as well. If you're black, hispanic or middle eastern but pull it off well, I think they're very baggable. I think they'd play less games than some westernised white girl with a posse of guys chasing her. More attitude = More upfront responses from experience.

That makes no sense manic, because in Argentina they look Caucasian. My advice would be to try a lot of different methods aka aggressive, passive, friends first, friends second, etc. The golden secret in all dating games is get in on a social circle and meet girl through them so you're trustable and are able to build rapport. Just make sure you're trying something and see what works the best.

Coming from someone who has actually been there:

1) You can find some online. They were very eager to meet me and take me to parties where I met more.

2) I met one lady who worked at a pizza place near where I staid.

3) Galleria pacifico: Try the street right out front. I had one lady who swindled guys into strip bars and passed out cards for a living fall for me. I wasn't really that into her since I was already dating a hot german translator, but I banged her a few times when I was bored.

4) Casino: Again don't marry them.

5) Take them to Puente de la Mujer for dates, or go to the evening dances and look for singles (untested by me).

6) If all else fails go to Cafe Excedra, Orleans, or (if late) Newport.

7) There are also alot of swinger events.

8) I don't recommend this one, but in Recoleta I saw several hot chicks digging in trash out by the street for some reason. I don't know if they come into the city to do this or what? They did not look dirty or homeless at all. Try approaching them (I always saw them at night) and find out wtf they are doing. I imagine they are quite easy to bone but if they are eating out of the trash I wouldn't want to touch them . ha.

IME even a total tool could get laid here. It was very easy for me. I also met other white & asian guys who were with local girls don't there, and some of them wouldn't have a prayer of getting any in the states. The more Spanish you speak, the more options you have but enough know english especially if you look online. Racism is not the reasonany guy cannot get laid in Argentina, although I've heard blacks may catch a little crap. Being white a disadvantage in Argentina? This is a horrible excuse!

Now when I was there nothing was easier than approaching women. A few rules:

1) Speak Spanish well. Really well. Learn some lunfardo. If you don't know what that means, find out now.

2) Get accustomed to local traditions. You are the man. Approach, be dominant, pay (this only applies to older guys, younger guys have it easier because if the girl is into you she will pay some of her own stuff because she knows that you are short of money, probably because you are in school.

3) Watch out. Some of my Argentine friends warned me not to take home or go home with any girl you met at a club the same night. It might be a set-up to rob you. It has happened to locals as well. You are not in the US nor Europe.

4) Learn to understand rapidly spoken Spanish.

5) Don't be all to afraid of kino. It's a touchy culture down there and you will probably have to get out of what is normal for you to seem normal for them.

6) Nobody gives a **** if you're American.

7) I am blond and had a great time. Women were looking my way. Be casual.

8) Dress nice. Get some clothes down there because people will notice that yours a from abroad.

9) Lots of Argentines tell me that the only way to identify a foreigner without talking to him is to watch his body language. See the kino point above.

10) Don't approach girls that are already with a guy. The Argentine men don't do it, because it appears they have a codex of some sort. I do not know if they beat each other up because of girls.

11) Don't drink too much. It is not that usual to be drunk in Argentina and also dangerous as it makes you vunerable to crime

Oh yeah

12) Get some men down there to teach you about women. It helped me a lot as well. Read up on futbol to get a conversation with them going. Girls sometimes also like futbol. The mundial was huge down there.

13) Find out what futbol means asap. You will die socially if you don't know.

14) I forgot. Observer the local rules of behavior: Let women get in the elevator first, let them get out first, hold the door, open the car door, etc etc. Let the men teach you. You'll find they like to talk about futbol y mujeres, pero nunca se habla de esposas!

15) A boliche is a great place to be. Problem is, if you don't understand rapid spanish to well, the ambient noise will drown everything.

16) Taxistas are a great source of info where to be and where to go.

You already pointed out that many women open up after a while. I think that is due to the fact that many Argentines just bullsh!t them too much and so they have high b1tch shields. Just let them know you are a cool, nice (as in polite) guy and you are sincere. This is Latin America, and women have a lot of reputation to lose!

So ya point well taken, "Dont get drunk in argentina, or for that matter, any parts of latin america"

So i have already started opening up convos in the street with questions about where good places are to eat, and last week i asked 2 hot locals on the street about a good pizza joint and needless to say we spent the next 4 hours together. So i think theres a lot of potential out here!!!

yeah, i was just down there as well. it seems the Argentines are growing wary of all the tourists coming down there now. i heard it was a lot easier few years back. but seriously, Argentines, especially portenos (buenos aries inhabitants), are very stuck up. they are more conceited than the europeans, but with way less money. i found argenitna to be the hardest place in south America to pick up chicks with Brazil(obviously) being the best place to pick up. i found myspace and other social networking sites to be of a big use. i always emphasize that im an American, **** it. be proud of where you are from. just tell them you are into some unusual sport or activity (such as surfing or snowboarding) and you are golden. talk to as many people as possible, local or tourists. learn your Spanish. eat out a lot at restaurants, and that is another good way to meet women. be very masculine and act like a complete gentlemen. look good, and stay fresh and be mysteriously intriguing. and another good point is to make friends with as many Argentine guys as possible too. i know it sounds gay, but seriously, nothing helps better than having a buddy that speaks Spanish, and knows where to go. also, the guys down there are aces with women(usually) and if you are respectful and a good person, most always your Argentine buddy will help you pull chicks. seriously, i just got back from down there a couple of months ago and i miss it so much. i had a girlfriend in every country coz the women are insane down there. i love latinas. so hot. they take pride in being a good lay. just dont get anyone pregnant and you will be fine. and get out of buenos aries and go travel. if you think Argentines are hot, you have seen nothing yet. just keep going north into Uruguay and Brazil and you will be astonished. i hope you never leave coz i never wanted to either.

Pure idiotic post. Argentina is an immigrant country like America. So is Brazil and Canada. Argentines are WHITE. Most are of Italian descent. Many Germans, Poles, Lebanese, Jews, Ukraines, English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and French as well. If you are any of the above ethnic groups you probably have relatives in Argentina or Brazil. Brazil is another immigrant country. Southern Brazil is one of the whitest places on earth.

Argentina IS NOT like Mexico. Mexico is mostly a mix of Indian/Spanish. Remember, Hispanic is NOT an ethnic group. It is simply a group of people that speak Spanish. Argentines would die if they knew that Americans sometimes lump them with Mexicans.

I talked to a few Argentine guys I met after I left and they explained this to me. They are used to their men being excessively aggresive, so if you aren't, they don't even pay attention to you. And he also told me that the guys there lie a helluva lot as well.
