Are you afraid to keep going out with one woman because you think something better will come along or you are afraid of losing your independence?

I feel like this alot. More and more I think I am like George Constanza.

Being a Commitophobe is healthy. Being a commitophobe might keep you from making the 2 biggest mistakes a man can make in his life, getting married too early or having a child (married or not) too early.

If you're over 30 being a commitophobe might not be such a good thing. At that age it might be time to start looking for a wife so you don't die alone and can start a family before you get too old.

Hello, my name is The Bad Ass Canadian and I am a commitophobe.

haha I've never heard of this term but i am definitely one. Very rarely does one girl intrest me enough to remain exclusive to her for longer than a few weeks to a month. I usually get bored and enjoy sleeping with new girls ona regular basis.... plus it keeps my heart from getting stomped on. The old adage of once bitten twice shy rings true for me... I don't hate the couple girls who made me this way; rather i hate myself for letting it happen.

i love being commited. i have been with the same girl for the last 5 years and she's a hoot. sometimes when i'm not feeling all positive, this girl makes me laugh and brings me out of the hole i dig myself into. she's not into herself, hell if anybody is the money spender, it's me. she's almost an accountant, so her salary is going to destroy mine. she's pretty as hell. she believes in my dreams and is willing to go wherever on this planet so i can achieve it.

i would be stupid not to commit. girls like her don't come around to often. i seen gold when she walked through the door.

I have never been in a commited relationship before, just casual dating and randon hookups. I guess I have a fear of the unknown. I guess I really have to like the girl for that to happen. I went out with a chick last night...she is attractive and cool...but I think I just want to fool around with her. I feel bad, when they are into me more than vice versa.

I AM a committphobe, but not just with women. I hate committing to anything. When I was in high school, I switched my class schedule over and over.

Its one of the reasons why I rarely take a formal leadership role (unless I get paid $$$), because I know somewhere down the line, I'm going to bail out.
