Are we more intelligent than the Universe?

I think saying that "the universe is intelligent" or "life is intelligent" is a little egotistic.
Its like saying the universe is some separate entity from us which posseses a certain level of knowledge.
But little do we know that we are creations of the universe. Therefore we posses the traits of it.
We are intelligent because the universe IS intelligence. Therefore we posses that trait, at the
consciousness level of human beings, we are provided with self awareness, which makes us
the only known life form to be able to recognize that their own existance. This self awareness
enables us to realize what intelligence is. So its not that the Universe is intelligent,
but rather, that intelligence and the universe and life are sinonyms.

How come blood coagulates?
How come oxigen is the most important sustance for life?
how come its the most plentyful thing in this world?
How does a bird fly 2000 miles without a map and can land exactly where he has to land at the exact time?

Is it that the Universe, life itself, is intelligent? or is it that life and intelligence
refer to the same concept, the concept of God?

Could this be what the Bible means when it states "God created man in his own image"?
