Professional bodybuilders look nothing like the human ideal aesthetics. Sorry, it's the truth. Look at arts: paintings & statues of ideal human male physiques, from ancient Greco-Roman time. Does any of them look like a typical pro bodybuilder? Nope. They look more like an Olympic weightlifter, sprinter or MMA pro, or elite CrossFit fellas.

I have high respect for bodybuilders' hard work and knowledge of nutritions & training. I don't admire their physique, nor the show they do.
+1

They do train hard, nobody's saying they don't. But they look bizarre and their "sport" is incredibly gay.

I read this in another forum and gets a great point across about this "extreme vanity" so many try to point out about bodybuilding....

There is also a billion dollar industry for music, haircare products, and designer jeans. People are really ****ing vain and they have been since the beginning of time. Yet, for some strange reason, people can only note the vanity of bodybuilders openly with insult yet think this is socially acceptable.

Vanity is present in the skinny jeans these dorks are wearing on this site as they cut off their circulation and ability to breed.

Vanity is present in every jackass who actually wishes his name was "The Situation".

It's present in people who can't afford gas but are driving Hummers to work.

It's present in that girl who has the word "delicious" written across her ass in glitter and rhinestones.

Bodybuilders are not and never have been the gatekeepers to vanity. They simply wear their hard work literally on their sleeve at all times.....while that girl eventually has to take her pants off.

We're not talking about skinny jeans or Humvees. We're talking about bodybuilding. You have to admit, it's incredibly gay.

Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWubJ5OrmjE
Lol you could have put up a way better video for flagrant ridiculing, than a video of arguably one of the most legendary bodybuilders of all time. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not a huge fan of the super heavy weight mass monsters. Yet I still find myself impressed by behemoths of that caliber. I have enough respect for those guys to at least acknowledge all their hard work. That's shown on and off the stage and not throw insults from behind a keyboard. Yet this is the wonderful internet after all....nothing new.

Anyways I'd rather look like that @41 than some 41 year old guys I see on the verge of full blown obesity scooting around on electric scooters all day. Yet let's not add any more insult to injury. As You have greatly hurt Ronnie Coleman's feelings with the "it's incredibly gay" comment.

Like I mentioned before also, I like their offseason relatively lean look and training the best. now you could have at least given him the courtesy of putting up a video of what he does best alongside his "incredibly gay" routines done in speedos, Ronnie is at his best just tearing **** up in the gym BEAST http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJoPuGff8bM :box:

Has it occurred to you that maybe, just maybe the OP wants to do strength training rather than bodybuilding?
Of course not. He mentioned he wants to put on some size. I gave him some advice to help him put on some size faster than his current routine... with the benefits of strength to boot. More muscle = more strength.

I must be a mind reader or something. I gave him exactly what he needs.

otherwise you are just going to confuse them.
I really hope he doesn't get confused so easy.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.
