Are men ever going to act like men again? I'm seriously worried.

Woah....

Is starfishandcoffee a woman? I just read through the thread again.

Either way, this person has presented an accurate assessment of the situation.

I'm not so sure...if you read stuff from back then it was apparently pretty bad. If you ever watch 20s silent movies you will see that it's AFC city. Men bringing flowers to women, movies about chumps chasing one woman and constantly getting rebuffed, movies about a man "winning back his sweetheart." You had all of the old Susan B. Anthony era feminists in power, emboldened after getting the voting amendment passed and etc.
There was a smal wave in the late 1800s, barely a ripple, which regressed. Then a huge wave came in the 1920s, then a regression, and now we are awash in the tsunami.

I notice that the regressions occured largely at wartime and in times of financial ruin.

Our wars today are different, with no clear, defined enemy and no front lines. The only quick fix to all this will be nuclear war. There will be exactly zero radical feminism when the bomb hits and during the aftermath.

But we must take the slow route and educate. We must always remember that SoSuave does not consist of only our members. We have literally many thousands of regular lurkers here. Every time the lght is shone upon feminism and exposed, these men are affected, and probably a handful of women, too.

Lurkers, I urge you to join up and take part in all this. You need your shackles broken off.

Everybody chant:

Join us....... Join Us........ Join us........

Somebody set Lady Gaga to 1920s movie footage. It is strikingly similar:

I think it is really important, even if there are no "men's studies" classes, to understand history the way it actually happened and explain it to people, rather than accepting the common wisdom that the Greatest Generation was "uncool" and "old-fashioned" and "sexist/racist" and "uptight."

Because remember, that's the Baby Boomers who have explained history that way. They have an agenda.

I look at guys like Dean Martin, for example (one of my role models). If you actually go back and look at video and stuff without feminist textbook bias, he doesn't look uptight to me. He looks like he doesn't give a sh!t.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc-WFPHcvGY

More people need to be aware of what actually happened the last 100 years.

Getting the young guys from the Highschool section into a sort of rite of passage could be an awesome addition to this forum.

If we're really serious about this positive masculinity, the elder among us need to step out of anonymity and link this board to extracurricular activities for these young men. I mean, if we have female teachers out there telling boys they're no different from girls it's obviously time to step in and set the record straight.
Funny you should say that. Yesterday I started thinking about starting a camp that 13 year old boys can attend (perhaps a 3 day weekend) where they are taught to be men.

They would be taught simple survival skills outdoors, attend classes about what it takes to be a man, learn about male shaming and how to reject it, learn about leadership, etc. The atmosphere would be similar to a well-disciplined military boot camp although of course tailored for a 13 year old... strict but not overly intense.

They would be taught that some boys at the camp are weaker and perhaps more fearful than others and that if we are strong then we are not to ridiclule the weak but rather help them for that is what a leader does.

They would also have some classes/demos about hobbies (perhaps RC planes, sports, introduction to programming, 3D printing, etc.).

The program would end with some kind of test of courage. They would have to go through some kind of fearful (although safe) experience.

At the completion of the program, they would receive a framed certificate and would understand in no uncertain terms that they are now young men and society will expect more from them henceforth.

The entire purpose of this would be to create a sorely needed male "rite of passage" for America. We have none, and this is devastating to the social order.

Lesson 3 In "Men's Studies" (haha)

More video using first hand sources.

Here is a clip from the early 1970s.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBCjvwzjLyU

The young guy is a Baby Boomer and the old guys are from the Greatest Generation.

Notice how the young man seems like kind of a pu$$y when compared to the old man with the pipe.

The 20s and 30s were a woman's culture, just like we have now. The 40s and especially the 50s, and 60s, it was a man's culture.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcNGYRKBfHA

Even in the 70s, they were this silent, omnipresent force in culture.

The Greatest Generation wasn't threatened by long hair like we were taught in class- they laughed at it because they thought the Boomers looked like pu$$ies.

As the 60s and 70s went on, many were disgusted- not because the Boomers were "changing the world", but because they thought it was a complete waste- instead of helping to fix the nation's problems and the world's problems, they got high and dropped out of doing anything useful in public life. They talked (and sung) a good game, but they didn't do SH!T (unlike what the Boomers say, which is that they "changed the world").

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zHmi9y-KLo
Your initial reaction will probably be that the hippies are cool and Reasoner is not- that's how we've been trained. But if you look at him, he is not actually scared or threatened. He is probably thinking, "You pu$$ies."

Look at this picture from the 20s. Notice the pu$$y round effeminate glasses and the fancy scarf:

http://hairstyletwist.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/iStock_000010232811XSmall.jpg

Now here are members of the greatest generation from the 50s/60s:

Everything became simple, bold, no extra fluff, no fuss and show. That's what happens when men are in charge of the culture who are sick of d!cking around after feminism, a rotten economy, and then having to go fight a war and shed blood to make up for the mistakes of feminized pu$$ies like Woodrow Wilson.

We even did cool stuff like elect Dwight Eisenhower for president two terms, who was a major general in the war. We built the entire interstate system we now use. We sent people to the fvcking MOON (the space program that petered out after the 70s).

That's what happens when real men are in charge of the culture.

I'll leave it there for now. I'm getting angry just typing out this sh!t.

The problem with the Boy Scouts is that it never took off as an official rite of passage into manhood. It has become very pussified from what I can see.

Oh, and my organization would screen out gay perverts who would try to become coaches.

a few of you misunderstood me and thought I was a female, apparently...

I'll clarify. I don't like competition with other men (who does), but I also like having respect for my own gender. Seeing most men my own age acting whipped and having no game to speak of is sickening.

I blame feminism on college campuses...

I like your idea, Smasher. Unfortunately, society expects little from boys/men these days. Even places like this, the Don Juan Forum, seem to think that the height of ambition for young men is to be a pack of pump and dumpers who believe there should be no morality. And that the most positive role model for a man is the sociopath/bad boy. I'm afraid you're going to always be a far better man than those surrounding you, Smasher.

I really like that particular bit of philosophy, but has anyone been able to successfully accomplish this? It seems like it is nature to prey upon the weak, look at the attitudes here toward AFCs.

I never did Boy Scouts, but I did Cub Scouts one year in second grade. It was taught by somebody's mother, who was incredibly hot. I knew even then! This was the 90s so she wore dresses and had her hair done and looked quite sharp. I can see her now...

Give em 6 months MANDATORY in the US Armed Forces. These 18 yr olds can't tie their shoelaces without texting their mommies. They'll starve if they lost the Chinese menu on the fridge. They're too busy worrying about polluting the Earth with an old lightbulb when they should be learning a goddamn skill in life! I swear they'll eventually need a helmet to jerk off! Gotta be safe, ya know!

After high school, make em do 6 months in the Army, Navy, A.F. or ..or...ready?...The Marines. Sick of these wanna-be barista-Hipster-puṣṣies sippin on Chia seed smoothies wearing white-framed sunglasses and $90 flip-flops.

Lol...that constant stream of xenoestrogens in plastics and the environment is wreaking havoc on the male hormonal system...each generation of male since the 1950's has lower testosterone levels than the generation before, on average.

And if you don't have testoterone, you have estrogen...is it any wonder why men are having problems acting like men in some cases?
Would you have to reach instinctual levels of These males http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uajbdHyI7Rg to be able to conjure primo testosterone. One would say, well, they're animals, they Have to be cruel, not guilty, just plundering, taking over, and dying in their short lifespans. I believe that in the olden days, much of these attributes were possessed by Human men, just ruthless, think Romans, or any time before the 1900s. People didn't live very long and getting the spoils was what it was all about. People took Nothing for granted and were always "on" "watch." Today, "men" play video games and Really Think they are as grizzly as men from before, men who beget and beget, beget men who beget them. We men today have thrown away our birthrights, and our sacredness. No one sees the gravity of the flippant forgoing of our heritage. Everything's a joke, dare I say, Gay.

Marmel is right on point with that. I've read similar studies on how testosterone has steadily declined since the 50's. Plastic containers contain synthetic estrogen. And Soy which is in 90% of processed food is a weak plant based estrogen.

Your that wimp who always gets his panties in a twist over Captain Burroughs's truth bombs if I recall. No wonder that stone cold fact rustled your jimmies.

Your damn right I'm no DJ. There's barely a dark triad trait to be seen here now.

See though, then I'd die trying to kill the invaders. I'd much rather be alive to see the men act like men.

College actually helped me become a bit of a man. I definitely noticed the overly feminized writing on the wall and it started to really annoy me. Then I did a full circle on attitude.
I don't know what my real "wakeup" moment was, really, but a major one early on was a worthless sociology class I took my first year of college.

It was taught by...well, a person who was born a hermaphrodite and raised as a woman. Halfway through her life, she decided to get gender reassignment surgery and re-identify as a man. (No clue why. To stomp on toes and dare society to say something, maybe?)

I didn't attend half of the lectures, because they never took attendance and they were available online. But I would have never learned anything. Every class was just an Ellen DeGeneres-style rant about men being evil.

I began to get annoyed with the class, and I was a fairly liberal guy back then. I thought to myself, screw you... I shouldn't have to apologize for expecting women to act a certain way. And it's not "rape" if I take the lead during the mating dance.

Isn't first-year sociology one giant propaganda about women's right and feminism anyways?

There were a couple of entertaining videos that I watches while in class but most of the times it was about women's rights and sh1t.
