Are girls impressed by intelligent guys?

Intelligence obviously doesn't make for attraction in and of itself, but for some women it's an absolute requirement.

So it would be more appropriate to say lack of intelligence can be a deal-breaker.

A thinker here, you said that muscular guys means low iq, lowwage jobs right? But in my experience that is not often the case. You see most fit guys are fit because they want to be fit, more of them are inteligent than you think. In fact I cannot see why a smart guy would not work out to look more massive. Its in his interest, and it relly takes brains to gain mass, if you want to do it the right way.

Dood, don't be crazy. Any guy with a huge brain who tries to have a conversation with a normal girl about those things won't work. Cuz she's not gonna understand what the hell he's saying.

I'm sorry but I can't imagine coming out of watching "The Matrix: Reloaded" and talking with a girl about how the matrix is just another manifestation of Plato's Cave. Or how we can draw comparisons between Morpheous and John the Baptist. Girls will look at you like you have two head and are currently growing a third... hell most guys will.

Women want a guy who is reasonably smart. The guy may not have been the best student in school, but he had enough street smarts and confidence to make it in real world type situations. Real intelligence doesn't really matter to women unless you can make a lot of money on your intellect like Bill Gates.

I like how people never take this into consideration. It takes intelligence to gain 20-50 lbs of muscle, you just don't go work out for 5-10 minutes and get it done. I think the people that try to say bodybuilding doesn't take intelligence are jealous because they don't have the discipline.

I did a bit of counterintelligence checking out a women's dating web site, and a lot of the gals complained about not finding men who can hang with their own intellectual conversations.

Such gals may be a small minority, but a man who's smart enough for them and has the DJ qualities to turn them on is money with such gals.

My point: intelligence does not imply attractiveness, but if you've got it, don't dumb yourself down.

The assumption that musclebound guys are dumb is a very dumb stereotype. Intelligence does help a lot if you're a naturally skinny guy who's bulking up.

I take pride in my awesome body...and it just goes to prove you wrong that i could be a medical student also. Wow....maybe i should drop out and become a mexican worker because i have muscles.

I think its best to have the best of all worlds. In school, if the teacher were to ask a question no one could answer, many girls would quickly exclaim "Ask Julian he probably knows". Not that im a brainiac, or some kind of nerd. But i believe knowledge is power and i feel the need to know alot about alot.

And the funny thing about is im the type of guy, who if you look at him you will probably think im just a stupid player. However, looks can be deceiving.

i am totally into meeting "intelligent" females. anyone have any idea where one can meet "intelligent" females.

i can say that i have only met like 4 or 5 naturally intelligent females in life, they were ALL english majors, big into shakespeare, ALL were prude virgins, and ALL were extremely awkward socially. (some looked good, but i knew right away nothing physical was gonna take place.) (sorry for the generalizations, but they're true!)

If you read my original message correctly, you will know that I'm merely comparing two extreme cases (ideal types), and they need not be mutually exclusive. But of course, if they overlap, everybody knows every woman would fall for a guy with the "best of both worlds" and so there's no need for comparison. That's why I make the contrasts sharper in order to see which one--intelligence or a well-built body--has some independent attractive power. No insult intended.

well, I've met few men who are smarter than I am...one is at:

I would like to call us renassance type guys but that would be stretching things too far. Ann Rand elitist? Maybe.

I think women are attracted to the stronger types as a matter of genitic programming. But when you can combine both (alpha male) they can't help themselves...lol.

I think the alpha males of the past were a combination of brute strength and intelligence. It took that to bring home the bacon. Just strength and no brains wouldn't know to track migration patterns of game, or stuff like that.

OK, I'll give you the key to the kingdom. How does this sound, a place where you can find self sufficient women who usually play hard and like to travel. They appreciate strong willed men who have control over their lives. They seldom BS and can hold their own when it comes to having their own opinions and more than likely will respect yours even if they differ.

You need to attend Small Business Owner conferences. They are a hotbed of intelligent, confident, financially secure, outgoing and believe it or not, friendly women. You have to be up on your DJ game to keep up though, these women do not play around.
