Approaching girl in your apartment complex

(FYI - I'm at the AFC level. A success every here and there but I've got a long way to go.)

I have lived in my current apartment about a year. There's a cute girl that lives in my fairly small complex. Due to our differing schedules, I have only run across her face to face a couple times over the last year and for very brief moments. The brief chances I have had to talk to her, she seems very nice, down to earth, and girl next door-ish. Just the way I like. Problem is, our encounters are so brief I don't have the time to work up a way to escalate things. I'm sure the DJs out there can do this sh*t within 1 minute, but I'm still learning the game.

Next time I see her which could come at any moment, I want to be prepared. I need to be able to escalate beyond the "friendly neighbor" crap and do so in the short time that I might be in the elevator with her. If any of you have been in this situation and have techniques, help me out brothers!

The Delivery Guy Approach...

Hahaaa,it's funny that you ask this because I was in this same situation. My bro (a natural at DJing) told me to do this:

Get an empty pizza box and knock on her door. Play the role of a delivery guy, and when she discovers the box is empty...say something like, "Well, I must have eaten all the pizza on my way here, we can order another...." etc. Worked for me...let me know if it works for you!

This is nothing more than my own personal view, but I try to stay away from approaching girls that I'm going to end up seeing on a daily basis without effort (effort meaning arranging times to meet in order to see one another). Given that you described your apartment complex as a small one, I would advise against approaching this one. However that doesn't mean that you can't practice flirting.

Also on a side note, stop refering to yourself as a person at the AFC level. Guys at the AFC level are the ones that don't have a clue as to how they can rid themselves of thier AFC status. From now on in your worse, most self-loathing moment refer to yourself as a Recovering AFC. Remember "I think, therefore I am."
