Approaching girl in college library/computer lab

Anyone have any tips on making a cold approach in these environments? Obviously they aren't ideal, as the girl is surrounded by other people, they're quiet environments, and people tend to keep their own space.

With that said, you see cuties around at all hours of the day.

This is one case where I think the "Hey, quick question: are you single?" line might not be that bad.

I don't know, I don't think it's a good idea to ask about a girl's status first. It comes across as "I might get the guts to make a pass at you, if you give me your tacit consent first". A man goes after what he wants, and if she has a serious borefriend she'll tell you after you've made a pass, so just short circuit that whole prelude.

As for the library environment, I have really only done it a few times at school. The most recent one was this girl who sat at the computer next to mine, with some fabulous legs. So I slyly leaned over and said "Hey you wanna hear something funny? You're making it impossible for me to concentrate on my work over here" She asked if I was referring to her clicking the mouse too much, but I was just like "No"...she knew what I meant all along. Didn't really go anywhere but I was proud of myself for doing it

Don't open a stranger by asking if they are single.

At least get some eye contact before you approach. If she's immersed in her work and you haven't had any EC then she's probably not going to be very receptive

Pick the stupidest, most silly book you can find off of the shelves, go up to her smile and ask her if she'd recommend it. Wait for her response and ask why? If she says she's never read it, say that wasn't really the question I was just wondering if you'd think it was interesting.

Whatever her response is bust her on it smiling the whole time. If she says yes tell her she has horrible taste and if she says no tell her you are the author and she doesn't know a thing about fine literature.

Get her laughing and your in.

If you see a cutie at the computers, grab a computer right next to her if available. Sit down, look over at her screen and say something in relation to that, no EC is needed. If you see one at a table studying, you can 1) sit next to her 2) ask if you can borrow a chair, while you do that, you can ask her what she's studying. If you see a hotie at the shelves, go right next to her and ask her if she knows where the books [she's looking at] is located. Example: You go right next to her and see that she's reading a book about biology or looking at them. You say, excuse me, im looking for books related to biology, do you know? BAM, you in! You can chat about biology from there. I've successfully field tested all of these methods so try it out.

Get the computer next to her and start looking at porn. Then, ask her if she can help you on an assignment.

If you know anything about networking, find out the machine ID of the computer she is working on and send a message to her computer via the NET SEND command. Make it funny as to leave a good impression.

Great places

Well, I can only speak about libraries but libraries are great places to meet chicks. It's easy, but you have to find the right spot. Choose a chick that is in a location where you feel most comfortable looking for her. The most important part is that you have to feel comfortable approaching her -- at least somewhat. So, when you find the spot where you can be your easy-going self go up and ask her something. Either think of something before hand or something off the top of your head. Do this a lot, go out today and try a few. I'm sure you will have a few positive reactions. But, of course it will take time to get good at this but over time you can make yourself into a real don juan.

best way to get a girl at the library would be to ask her a favor: save your seat, watch your book, cd player, whatever .. this should give both of you a chance for a small chat. If she asks you the same kind of favor you're game; my opinion of course.
I've tried this quite a few times and it hasn't failed me so far .. but i've always blown it later

Hey Francisco: In my AFC days, a hot chick in my computing class who I had spoken to once before very briefly opened me with NET SEND!

I wasn't as chumpish as I usually was on the computer and she flashed me a HUGE smile when she left. Pity I didn't go up and site next to her.

Anyway, it's hard to know what a suitable line would be in this situation.

Hot women with the technical prowess to do command line level network commands would definitely grab my attention! Too bad you let that one get away.

As for a suitable line I would suggest something technically funny. Sending a pop up message like "Press any key to continue... NO NO NO, NOT THAT ONE!!!!" will more than likely cause a chuckle and she will more than likely look around the lab. Be sure that she sees you grinning at her and give her a wink, instant connection/rapport.

I know it sounds cheesy, it is a unique introduction and it actually works.
