Anything that keep bartenders from giving their number?

So yesterday I was at the disco and this one hb8 bartender was tending me shots.

I always asked her for strong ones, she was being nice and smiley (thats her job i know).

After the last one I go dancing and then I go back and ask her "Well you're still on time to give me your number"

She then laughs and answers "Sorry, we can't give our numbers in the disco yet if I see you outside I'll give it to you."

So I thought to myself that this was prolly bull so I laugh back smile and say "Well Goodbye and thanks for the drinks"

But now i'm wonderin, is it a rule in some discos that bartenders aren't allowed to give out their numbers?

Btw i think this really was my first approach using what i learned around here, How do you think I did?

nice job asking for it, but her response was probably bullsh1t

I usually just forget about asking out waitresses/bartenders nowadays (I've done it once) because they're getting paid to be nice to you.

yeah and since it's a disco talking it's really hard, so it comes all back to attitude or aspect. (wich i don't excel)

so anyways, is it just me or does the rush of asking targets like that for their number just feel good?
