Saw a Dr, told me to just ease in. That was 3 months ago.

I have zero pain usually but twisting my shoulder back to squat hurts a little. I did it deadlifting. Im not pushing it as I can feel the pain and I don’t want to tear it again.

it’s been 6 months maybe more, my training consistency has suffered too as I was progressing very well and I’ve lost loads of strength.

anyone had this. And do you think either surgery or injections are necessary given length of time. I’ve heard pain doesn’t mean it’s weak. Not sure what to do. Thanks

I'm on TRT and I use low dose of Deca to lubricate joints. Not sure if that helps with that, but definitely you feel better and pain free.

IMO surgery should be the last resort.

My rotary cuff been hurting for years due to wear and tear from boxing. Went to a PT who told me to work on my bicep because its connected to the shoulder. Pain is completely gone BUT it took me at least one full year of exercise.

Go to a PT. Surgery is the last resort and it won't be pretty....

don’t need TRT, thought about deca but don’t want to mess with my (pretty good for age) T system.

does deca mess with ur T production?

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.

The shoulder is a hyper mobile joint and should be treated with extreme care, this could be caused by any number of things. I think it's a good sign that the pain isn't with you all the time, but don't let us diagnose you. Great work getting to a doctor, next step is a PT who will oversee your recovery and get you back in form.

Losing strength is disheartening I know, trust me I've been there many times and for all sorts of reasons. The good news is it'll come back to you quickly once you start training again, and when you're recovered you'll be super motivated to hit the gym.

Don't look into PEDs for a rotator cuff issue. Once you're healed, if you want to hit the juice talk to us and we can run you through your options. But that should come from an informed place and a desire to gain mass.

Deadlifts while fun can injure you in all sorts of ways even if you're being careful. When I trained them I would only phase them in temporarily then not do them for a while, and I only ever did singles. Getting a bit older now so I tend to be a bit more conservative with the weights and the exercises I use, this means I've cut out both the deadlift and the bench press.

Yes. So if you're not on trt don't.

This is misleading, you need to learn difference. The dose is what matters.

talk to us and we can run you through your options
Talk to you? Who are you? Why are you fit to give advice on steroids? Are you a Dr? Do you work with males in a clinic? Do you except people to trust you just because you say it?

@Fruitbat I was searching online and I found this clinical trial, they're using Anavar (a PED) which a derivative of Testosterone to help with that repair, I know you're against it, but its food for thought.

This study is about healing after a rotator cuff tear repair procedure. We hope to learn if a biologic medication: Oxandrolone, a synthetic derivative of the human hormone Testosterone (the principal male sex hormone and an anabolic steroid), given for 12 weeks following rotator cuff repair, is effective in aiding in the healing process and restoring muscle mass.

Hmm...that seems like a strange injury to get from deadlifting.

Were you trying to pull from your arms instead of from your posterior chain?

Here’s a question. I’m in my early forties. Really I need to lose fat, I’m overweight. I’ve always lived and breathed the idea of free weights, hitting compounds, deadlifts, squats. I’ve had one hernia from squats and one torn shoulder.

I’m not trying to win Mr Olympia and I don’t need PED really as my test is 600+ from multiple tests even 30+ bodyfat and ****ty sleep .my full panel of hormone was really good, SHBG etc all bang on normal and test has always been 600-700 from multiple tests.

question is, do I even need to keep deadlifting? Or squatting? I don’t want to be a bodybuilder, I just want to be fit and not skinny.

I love deadlifting. I’m thinking I could get by on a squat and a stiff leg dead, despite what they say I feel the real deadlift is the injury maker, stiff leg dead’s target hams more and are less shoulder and back involved.

I don’t think I’d get injured, might have to drop deads . Or do I go machines? I kind of look down on machines

it was after a pull session so it’s either deadlifts, bent over row, curl or bench.

I can’t pinpoint it but I think it was the dead . Also it was movement with my arm low that hurt the most . The moving of my arm from by my side up to level hurt the most.

Good to see yoh back I thought you’d left.

You shouldn't go by just numbers, you gotta take symptoms into account. TRT is to optimize your hormones, not to have your levels super high.

If you wanna be fit and skinny, you gotta hit the gym, eat healthy, caloric deficit, good sleep, low stress, and consistency. There is no magic pill, not even on PEDs you'll be fit if you don't do the work.
