I'm looking for a business partner.

I'm going to be making an impact in this community relatively soon.

Omigosh, you're going to become a pickup guru, aren't you?
Didn't you just start a thread trashing PUAs selling their stuff?

Quick info.

I was approached by an affiliate marketing company that saw my advice posted here and wanted me to join their team because they think my advice would make money.

I declined, because the product I'm going to put out is legit.

I'm not asking for money, I don't even have a product yet. What I'm trying to do is gather information on the possibility of getting the ball rolling in the near future.

I would like some advice in regards to the technical side. That includes web design, cost, marketing, etc.

I would be writing ALL of the materal, that's not negotiable. I am looking for a potential business partner.

I bashed the PUAs, because there are STRICLY marketers. In other words, their whole angle was bogus.

Again, one of them contacted me because they wanted my knowledge to make money. I said "No."

I wanted it to be someone from this forum, not a charlatan.

lol

i saw this coming.... in one of your past threads you said something like, "If I decide to put a product out....." .... and i knew right there that that was your intention....

unless you're giving away your information for free (and no ads on your site) - then you too are just another "guru" who will have to market in one way or another (relying on "word of mouth" is still marketing, and one of the best forms there is).

now you're mentioning it HERE in the Don Juan General Discussion as if you humbly stumbled upon the idea...

Your advice seems decent and i haven't disagreed with anything i've read, but it's nothing ground breaking. Hardly anything that's going to make an impact (at least without good marketing).... So in general, you seem like a knowledgeable person, but this whole act you're putting on is a put off.
---

I would love to know more about this mysterious "affiliate marketing company" and why they would be contacting someone who "supposedly" doesn't have a site; do you even know what affiliate marketing is?....

LOL. Dating market is a tough racket. Personally I would shy away from the PUA end of the dating market pool myself. Catch the randoms before they get indoctrinated. It's easier to sale to a complete noob who is looking for information on dating than it is to a guy who has been reading pick up stuff for a year or two. What is the law? Know your customers! Who are your customers? Not the SS guys.

Look into worpress.org for a decent web building application. Many sites are just using wordpress blogs now.

Interesting experience I had about 2 weeks ago at a bar, was a slightly older guy try and teach me about the true nature of women in accord with PUA doctrine. He was a friend and not a bad dude, so I was curious in which direction he'd take things. In the end he just said he was burnt out with dating and didn't actually talk to a single woman all night, which as far as I'm concerned was kind of a poor showing. Another guy at work who is kind of a clueless goof made a somewhat out-of-context joke about putting tabasco sauce in condoms. Roissy, patron saint of the whole PUA/political thing, is veering into self-parody. The last post I read where he tried to outline 'alpha' male behaviour concerned three teenagers in a love triangle, which ended with one of the girls stabbing another to death. Personally I'd be just as happy if my lovers weren't killing each other.

You know when something is over? When the kind of people you'd be embarrassed to be associated with, start jumping on a trend. This sh*t is over. It is so over.

Why don't you drop the get-rich-quick idea Owl... what would people pay for, AND CONSIDER GOOD VALUE, if you had ten years to form and shape your business? Build that instead.

This is what I was concerned about, because my material is going to assume someone has a certain amount of game. I'll be honest, a noob who who can't make eye contact with a girl will find my advice very difficult to apply. I don't want to deceive anyone. The majority of my angle is going to be "mindset", with the intention of taking action, and understanding how social situations differ depending on the circumstances.

I'm not trying to "get rich", what I'm going to do is provide a valuable service for guys that want to step their game up.

If I wanted to get rich, I could have teamed up with an affiliate marketing company.

you obviously don't understand the type of guy the pick up community prays on. They pray on the guys that are completely clueless with women. The guys that will pay anything to get laid. Not guys that "want to step up their game". I doubt anyone will pay you ****. But if your still set on this then I'll help you with designing a website, I charge $30/hour.

My marketing campaign is primarily going to revolve around three things:

1. The wrong advice that's being given

2. The mistakes most guys make that they aren't aware of

and

3. Applying a different mindset if they want to succeed.

This accomplishes a few things. First of all -- it's true -- there's a lot of bad advice out there. Everyone in this forum can attest to that, even the ones that aren't aware of the community... from the guy that are good with girls, to the ones that aren't. The general consensus is unanimous.

The second point caters to the guys that MIGHT be good with women, but are curious as to what they could potentially be missing. This creates curiousity and self-doubt, which will question their knowledge and gets them interested in what I have to say.

The third is going to reference the core of the product, the "mindset". I'm really going to challenge guys to see things in a completely different perspective and make them say "Ahh, never thought about it like that."

I'm working on a few different ideas and am hoping to parlay this into something of substance.
