hey jiza, I went to Melbourne Uni from 2000-2004.

First of all you show know that chicks on campus aren't the friendliest around. Most agree that Melbourne Uni is one of the more antisocial campuses around the city so you just need to be aware when making cold approaches.

Prince Alfred hotel on Grattan is good on Fridays. The union is the place to be, especially on Tuesdays. They usually have bands on Tuesday and thousands of chicks magically appear. Friday is dead in terms of female talent.

Franks' cafe is great for cheap pizza and the courtyard at the Commerce faculty is a good place to find a few hot women drinking coffees.

Clubs are good for meeting girls, as they are at any campus. Join More Beer and maybe the Chocolate Lovers Society.

any more questions feel free to ask

Ok, thanks mate.
So the Beer lovers club, and chocolate clubs are the best to join you recon? I have a few mates with me there so im not to lost, but im thinking of doing some approaches just to get to know some honies, what about that big patch of grass, i saw some chicks there. And yes i can see what you mean about some women being anti-social because its a "smart" uni, but dont worry im sure i can get over that, ill start approaching soon. What course did you do? i see most chicks do bloody arts ahaha, my course has 0 hotties. The hottest chick was one of the people in red that shows you around. BTW what is this Union thing ??, do you have to join it? and where is it ?. Thanks for you help, i can see you are going to give me some valuable knowledge about the uni.

Gday,
The beer lovers club is a bit blokey, but at the start of the year curious young hotties all go to the BBQ so they can feel like "rebellious Uni students". You know how it is :) They all gravitate to the alcohol so you can set yourself up well if you are prepared to socialise and not get too drunk. But later in the year it gets kinda old. Choc lovers has a lot of girls it seems. I didn't join many clubs but I wish I had - try cycling or swimming or something sporty...anything but the chess club! Join the gym too.

That big patch of grass "South Lawn" is a lot better than "Union Lawn" (you'll learn which is which). South Lawn is the "cool" area and gets pretty crowded on warm days midweek. However the groups here are large and kinda cliquey - it's rare that you'd find lone girls or groups of two. There are jocks and AMOGs EVERYWHERE here! Better pick-up areas are on the concrete north of the union building and near the bank on the opposite side.

It is a "smart" Uni....some girls talk to you as if they have their head stuck up their arse and have no idea how to communicate with someone of lower class (I went to a public high school...you will come across snobby heiresses and millionaires and that kinda sh1t)

And it may be difficult to seperate from your friends during O-week but try to push yourself to be independent. Some people stick together and so miss the chance to make new friends...and then you're pretty f*cked. Stick with your tour group on the first day...and if there's nobody that great in it just go your own way and mingle with randoms on the 2nd. I wish I did that....my group was lame, but I was still mega-AFC back then!

I did Info Systems and yes, there were 0 hotties, unless you like Asian chicks. Is that what you're doing also?? Because I was one of the people dressed in red during the open day! Don't be intimidated because they're older than you either, the 3rd and 4th year chicks are better.

And the union is just a big building towards the north of campus (you can't miss it) with lots of takeaway shops, a magazine/Cd library, small bar (which is dead an unpopular) and a bunch of other student services. You join it automatically, but don't have to participate in union protests and meetings and sh1t like that.

Just have fun, don't be too nervous and remember that everyone is dying to make new friends.

Ok, thanks for your help man. O-week starts on the 24th feb i think and goes for 4 days or so. So you recomend i stick with my group on day 1 then split if its gay. I can do that, also what are the camps like eg o-week camp, which is before o-week. I think i won't be going :/, and don't worry bout those up themselves *****es ;), i can handle them, im a decent looking guy and im not going to let them step on me in no way shape or form ;). Just finished enrolment yesterday and had around 10 ppl asking me to join clubs and go on camps and ****, had a nice chat with some hottie who wanted me to go on o-week, i was like hmm ill think bout it. Yer im going to join the gym for sure,so you recon the best place to chill is South Lawn, but if i want to meet new ppl go to the concrete area. Yer i think ive decided to chill with mates on day 1, then go full ball and meet as many ppl as possible, im sure it will lead for some funny stories and ****, and ill post you to them, im sure you will have a laugh ;). Yer the hottest chick in my class into was a chick in a red shirt who showed ppl around, does that mean she does the course she was showing ppl around at ?? Thanks for you help btw i appreciate it, also how do you go clothing wise, do ppl end up dressing like bumbs the whole year but start out nice ?? or what happens there.
Any more tips = really gratefull.
