actually there are some proteins you will not digest until the egg is cooked.
I was just stating that either way the amount of protein you get from one or the other is not an enormously significant amount!

In a raw egg, these proteins are curled and folded to form a compact ball. Weak bonds between amino acids hold the proteins in this shape—until you turn up the heat. When heated, the weak bonds break and the protein unfolds. Then its amino acids form weak bonds with the amino acids of other proteins, a process called coagulation. The resulting network of proteins captures water, making a soft, digestible gel.

If you keep the heat turned up too high or too long when you cook an egg, the proteins in the egg white form more and more bonds, squeezing some of the water out of the protein network and making the egg white rubbery.
thx for a detailed explanation of the known keep up the good work:cool:

that is true but when some eat 12 eggs for breakfast and they do this over 300 days a year, it can be quite significant

-first of all i dont advocate eating raw eggs,
-second 12 JUMBO eggs would only be about 1150 calories, and i doubt most people usualy eat anything bigger than extra large. wich would be slightly less than 1050 calories.
-third i didnt give anyone advice as to eat 12 eggs for 300 days, read over my post thanks.

2556 mg of cholesterol on a daily basis is extremely taxing on the human digestive system. Remember that one egg alone accounts for 2/3 of the daily maximum amount of cholesterol that is recommended for the human body. 900 calories(on just one breakfast) is also not a good way to go.
oh so its 2556 cholesterol and not calories? I must be the one spewing stuff i don't know about

But seriously, theres cholesterol in your meat too, did you know that?

dietary cholesterol has little effect on serum cholesterol, id love to post some studies for you if you are unwilling to do the research yourself.

As I said before, one single egg holds 2/3 of your recommended daily value of cholesterol...

and meat does not have as much cholesterol as 12 eggs...

let me put it into perspective for you...

A serving of sirloin steak= 66 mg of cholesterol
A serving of flank steak= 59 mg of cholesterol
A serving of round beef= 59 mg of cholesterol
A serving of chicken breast= 72mg of cholesterol
A serving of dark meat chicken= 81 mg of cholesterol

1 single egg= 213 mg of cholesterol
thank you, that is a nice list, i only eat chicken breast and eggs tho from that list.

also look up
LDL
HDL
effect of dietaty cholesterol on serum cholesterol.
oh ya and jumbo eggs for 275 mg of cholesterol and extra large has 243.
