It's not as bad as Seattle. That I can tell you. Took a vacation in Seattle for a week and each day you see like 60 to 120 faggots and lesbians a day. Chicago isn't to that extent.

I'm from New Orleans, and aside from the folks working at the bar/restaurant/showclubs in the French Quarter whose very raison d'être is to feature trannies ("where the girls are boys"), I can't say that it's nearly as bad as San Francisco - although certainly New Orleans is one of the big city magnets for sexual deviants, like San Francisco, Los Angeles & Miami. I guess I've never really done the French Quarter scene much, which is where these freaks hang out; they certainly haven't hung out at the haunts I used to frequent. Perhaps that colleague of mine went the Quarter one night and got fooled.

I remember seeing what looked to be a pretty nice looking female on one of those sites (I think it was Match Doctor). She seemed to be more attractive than any other woman there, and also seemed interested in me with our conversations. However, from the single photo of her, I did begin to notice that her face seemed a little long and her shoulders a little broad, so I bailed out.

BTW, I've been noticing a lot of women who ask be to be Friended with me on Facebook with similar gender-ambiguous accents. I've Friended such a woman once or twice, and the woman always seems to be very interested in communicating with me very quickly, which would make sense as I think a tranny who can fool a hetero man gets an enormous amount of validation from being able to trick one like that.
