Are there people that actually believe that girls wouldn't flake on Brad Pitt solely based on his looks/status? Because Brett Favre just had to deal with a whole lot more than flaking.

Here's a guy that had status, looks, fame, etc...and a lack of social intelligence was all it took to get him labeled a "creep" and dragged into a lawsuit.

It's a good reminder that the alpha, genetically gifted guys at the top STILL get blown out, despite the maxim that states that massage therapists would gladly "share" a successful man. There is no substitute for solid game and the ability to inspire emotion in the minds of women.

Yah. This wasnt about flaking or being creepy or any of that. It was about money. How do you think Farve got her number? Why do you think she saved this stuff? Everyone knows what's this about.

I'll admit it, I'm a huge Favre fan, and not just because I look like him. So it pains me to make analysis of his situation. The guy's about my age, been married for at least 20 years, and is a grandfather at 41.

Once again you have to look at the events that led up to this 'scandal'. Just like Tiger, he married far too early, especially when you consider he was just beginning an epic career as a hall of fame QB. He's played for 20 years in the NFL and basically could have access to any piece of ass he wanted along the way, but he was trapped in marriage early on. He may have looks, talent, money, fame, status, etc. but what he lacks is Game. He's been retarded in his socialization skills with women due to his early marriage. He's simply never had the depth of experience with women necessary to understand how to operate with them.

So now he finds himself at the end of his career and he sees the past glory starting to fade. Even though he'll have a legacy in the sport that'll outlive him, football is all he knows. His identity is football, but he see it coming to an end, so he's got to wring out the last drops of goodness from it. In 2009 he's having a banner year and is a pass away from the superbowl. Of course he's going to flirt; it's almost his last chance to do so, and he's on top of his game and has a fresh new Vikings team full of young players counting him as an equal, if not venerating him as an all time great. He puts all of his social proof into being that star, hall of fame QB - he doesn't need to, but that's all he knows and that's all he thinks is attractive about him, so he has trouble giving it up. Thus the wishy-washy vacillations about retirement. It's not about the passion of playing the game so much as it is about the social proof he derives from it.

So this hot, flirty PoA "locker room reporter" for the Jets gets into the mix. He sees his chance, but she's not into Brett. She doesn't need to be; she's around hotter, younger, unmarried NFL players all the time - maybe not with the same amount of cash or his stats, but that's all a wash to mid 20's hottie who only knows Brett by name. Have a look at some of Jenn Sterger's college glamour shots and tell me if this is the kind of girl who'd be down with banging a long-time married, 40 y.o. Favre when she's surrounded by NFL jocks fresh out of college. While you're at it, you might also google some images of Deanna Favre and look at how shockingly similar she looks to Jenn Sterger. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Now Brett Favre, hall of fame Brett Favre, is being rejected by a hot piece of ass. He lacks the social skill and Game to charm this girl, but he wants to make the most of it so he lamely propositions her in a way that even the most rank AFC would be embarrassed by - and I don't mean the alleged pics sent to her of his junk. Listen to the voice mail recordings of him attempting to hook up with Jenn. They reek of a teenage AFC desperately qualifying himself to a pedestalized high school cheerleader. All of his money and greatness from the last 20 years don't compensate for the fact that he's been socially retarded. His early marriage was our first clue. Deanna's a good looking woman no doubt, but Brett limited himself, stunted his own social maturity, in a way that most AFCs are prone to do; marry the first hottest girl you think you'll ever have the opportunity to lock down.

Now Brett is trying to make up for lost time. He acknowledges his own greatness from the other side of it now and realizes he could've been tapping a smorgasbord of hot new ass for the past 20 years.

Right, that's what I think. It's about the money. Otherwise, why wait until now to bring all this stuff out?

I bet Favre wishes he didn't come back for this one last year lol.
Also, he may have more money than ever but his reputation (and thus his social status I guess) isn't what it used to be.

Aha! See, they don't always go for the taken man after all. Being unattached will often bring you more opportunities.

Actually according to what I read, she had this information for a year or two and never attempted to use it against him.

If I recall correctly....and tell me if I'm wrong...the story was that a writer was asking her if she had any weird stories about pro athletes trying to hook up with her. After lots of prying he got her to admit - off the record - that Brett Favre was a bit of a perv. Then the writer decided to use her name in the story anyway, which put her business out there.

Even now, all she was asking for was an acknowledgment and apology for the wrongdoing. I don't believe there was money involved.

Quite true, she has never sued, and has only said she wanted an apology.

Not only that but it goes to show that even Alpha's have beta traits. Favre was considered the Alpha of Alpha's Iron man of the NFL. There is no over-analysis needed the guy was a guy who never had game and used his status/money to bring in broads. When one chick turned into a challenge he did what a uber-chump would do (trust me I know cause I use to do that all the time ha ha)

Rollo's break down is spot on, but the truth is a lot of guys who are Alpha's on the court/field/course aren't Alpha at all when it comes to women and game i.e. Brett Favre/Michael Jordan/Tiger Woods
