he is completely BEREFT of a ground game. I have 6 months of jiu jitsu and I can see that.

thank you. I thought it was just me.

and that flying triangle they keep showing in the Tapout commercial is lame. The guy doesn't even begin to have it locked in.

Lol, I was kinda wondering about that myself. Actually I thought it was an armbar he moved to??

As for Kimbo, it's hard to believe he'd be training with Bas Rutten all that time and he has no ground game whatsoever. I don't know what's going on there. That is part of what leads me to think that the fight was fixed in order to make the show more dramatic. I mean look at the aggression Kimbo came out with on this fight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jUC5QjFzmQ versus the one he had on TUF where he looked like he didn't even want to throw a punch. He even successfully did a takedown.

Kimbo

He is too old at this point to try to develop any groundwork that will be effective enough to win a fight at the level he is competing. To have any hope of winning a UFC fight he needs submission defense, some sweeps/escapes and take-down defense so that he can keep the fight standing, bring it back to the feet or keep himself from tapping. Everyone knows his groundwork is crap so at least he has an idea what they will throw at him.

Dana "Boxing is Dead" White is all about the $$$, and he should be because he is involved in a business. He is savvy.

TV is crap anyways- and a reality 'fight' show is just as staged as any other reality show...are those really the top-level contenders across the country and the world that should get a shot at the UFC??? There's no one else???

Dana's tirade after losing the bid for Fedor was hilarious. Google it. Dana is such a douche. He's worse than Don King.

I'm going to stop watching TUF. After all, it's just a bunch of douchebags talking about how unstoppable they are but the fights are boring as hell and they act afraid to even take a swing at a guy.

I too was rooting for Kimbo. Don't think much of Country Fried Nelson after that fight, all he did was sit his fat ass on Kimbos face in that crucifix position and smother him. But I have no doubt he will end up in the UFC, more cannon fodder for Brock Lesnar before Fedor eventually comes onboard.

They show two sequences. The first is the flying lame triangle. The second is a flying arm bar. It's hard to see much of the arm bar to critique, but with the triangle, he doesn't even begin to lock it in. Any move in jiu-jitsu that starts with "flying" is the cool stuff, which is why it's on the commercial.
