I am. I haven't been able to ride much besides a few hours a week for exercise unfortunately.

This year was the year from hell on my bike...I popped like 10 tubes ad shredded both tires and had my first experience falling off the bike.

I popped 17 tubes this summer and shredded four tires :-(

Thats what 3,000 miles per year got me. I want to get better tires.

xc - specialized rockhopper

For the record, I popped 9 tubes this summer, completely wore out 2 sets of tyres. Even had a rear wheel that literally exploded (the rim snapped in half) - the 1.5hr walk home was not pleasant to say the least...

Believe it or not, I bought a Unicycle. Unfortunately, I've been so bogged down with work that I haven't had time to learn how to ride the damned thing.

I'm on my bike for at least 2-3 hours a week as transportation. Sometimes longer if I take it out on to trails on weekends.

Probably get around 200km a month on it.

I don't cycle much, but I've done a couple of longish cycle tours. There's something grand about just riding into the unknown, not to be seen again for weeks.

Strap a tent to your bike and ride into the sunset. That's the cowboy life.

It's like the marketing says - rigid, pretty light, great handling...the aerodynamics are better than regular round tubing (around -10watts @20mph). The downside is it's aluminum so not as comfortable as carbon. Also it goes without saying that it's one sexy beast .

What does 'not as comfortable as carbon' mean? I.e. When do you start feeling fatigued?

After 50 miles? 100?
2 or 3 hours?

Also it goes without saying that it's one sexy beast .

Carbon damps small vibrations so it's easier on the joints. Personally I feel it in the elbows and back after 3-4h. Then again I've been doing a lot of XC last few months so maybe when I get back on the road bike again it will feel like silk...

I go through two sets of these tires a year (4000-4500 miles) and despite using extra-lite tubes, I average only one flat a season the five years of using this brand. I check and fill my tires before every ride.

I actually stick with the full wire bead, I still don't completely trust folding tires.
