Anxiety and Caffiene

I have an anxiety disorder, however i like to drinl coffee in the morning. I know you guys are not doctors, but i know Caffeine is a stimulant. I was wondering if i should stay away from caffeine completely. Thanks

I always love it how dudes with medical conditions come on these boards asking us for what amounts to medical advice.

If you're on medication for this condition, WHY THE FUKK ARE YOU ASKING US?? You'd be an idiot to follow what any of us have to say, last I checked there are no MDs that regularly post on this forum.

GO ASK YOUR DOCTOR.

No ****...I know most of you guys are not M.D's, but maybe some of you are health freaks and would no some pointers.

For some reason, caffeine relaxes me. Of course physically I'm stimulated, but mentally I'm very relaxed when I take it.

Just avoid caffiene as much as possible. It has no nutritional value whatsoever.

It actually blocks the effects of serotonin and melatonin causing restless sleep and iritability.

Caffiene blocks serotonin...really? i have never heard that one. I also heard pasta helps with serotonin...is this true?

It has to do with the carbs, not the pasta.

Instead of drinking coffee, start drinking Green tea. Green tea contains a relaxing amino acid called L-theanine. Do a search
if you want to know more. I just picked up some L-theanine in pill form. Going to try it right now. Ill post if i feel any difference...
