Brief synopsis asked for bartender gals number. She was about to give it to me, I than said can you put it on a napkin and sneak it to me and give it to me because i don't want other bar staff, customers seeing this unfold. She said give me a little bit and she will. She didn't give me the number so I asked for it which she replied maybe after a couple more encounters and get to to know you better..I replied makes sense...see her the other night and she basically totally ignores me but not everybody else.....I would have gotten the number originally instead asked for it on a napkin to keep it on the down low....whats up with this girl? Im probabaly at least fifteen years older than her as well.

1. She is a bartender (it's their job to keep you coming to the bar, which should always be in the back of your mind even when there seems genuine interest).
2. The sneaking thing is probably what killed you because women in my experience prefer men who are bold and comfortable hitting on women in public and not ashamed of what others might think. You want private life to match public life. You are attracted to women, right? So what is so humiliating about letting the other patrons see this truth unfold?

when I originally asked for it she said sure and was ready to give it...I didn't want the old head bartender seeing it unfold as she is new to the job and the head bartender hates my ass with a passion, she acts like a house mother in a strip joint protecting the young girls.

agreed...she is new to the bar as a bartender and didin't know the politics and jealousies of the place plus I'm 18 yrs older than her. She asked me couple nights before at closing in front of a couple people and afore mentioned bartender if I have to get up early...didn't know if she was being curious or looking for a hook up. For me in that position to say no I don't have to get up early..do you? do you want to hang out? would have put that hook up on the spot in front of the other bartender that doesn't like me and male customers that would love to bed this young chick....my problem is I like to make my move on girls in bars especially bartenders/****tail waitresses privately and on the down low as I don't like my business or privacy be known by people in the bar. it seems to always backfire when other customers and other bartenders know your biz on hook ups in a bar. Easier to keep your private life and bar hook ups to yourself.

They might roll their eyes and smile, and that's it. Worst-case scenario is 1. someone wants to fight you, or 2. You get kicked out.

But wouldn't you rather do it that way than live in fear...of a WOMAN, no less?

Nothing turns off ladies quite like a display of inferiority, fear, or a sense that you are now not only the strongest guy, but you are ranking WOMEN above you in the form of that head waitress.

dude you don't understand the dynamics of this bar. the haead bartender hates me and if it gotten to her which it would have she would have intimidated this new bartender chick with its against bar policy to date or socialize with customers outside the bar...this new girl would think her job is on the line and would have been in a conundrum...I know the bar better than this new chcik thats why I approached it the way I did...mistake on my part as I should of taken her number...didn't like the looks I was getting from the head bartender as I asked for the number as i've been close to being 86 ed out of there a few times.

Totally agreed thats why I approached it the way I did. When the head bartender hates you probably because she wants to fvck me and she likes her power trips and controlling the new young bartender chicks and cokk blocking guys like me its easier to be sly and secretive about your interests in new girls and customers because people talk. To be hones there isn't tremendous compettion in that place on a given night and thats why guys go there and i know i have a reputation in there of hooking up and keeping private about who my interests are directed towards.
