Why do you think that everyone wants to get rid of you :p

And if that's what you like wearing, wear it. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. They shouldn't think you're trying too hard, in fact being well dressed is a big plus. And if they do think that, screw them, you aren't dressing for their validation of you, at least I hope not.

Here's a solid answer copied from my post on another thread:

Guys -- don't dress to please women. That's fvcking pathetic. Dress to please yourselves, realizing, as you choose your attire, that you are clothing the most important person in the world, for whom nothing is too good.

If you do this you will likely impress their venal asses, but this should be a side-effect of your own self-care, rather than its motivation.

Why would that be try hard? These people don't know anything about you - you could work at a bank for all they know. OR, you could just be this super cool dude who dresses really well. Women love a guy who dresses well. Where I go to college, 90% of guys wear Hollister / Abercrombie to parties. Whenever I show up dressed differently from the "cookie cutter guy" at the party, I get compliments.

whatever you wear, OWN it. then you'll have no problem. Khakis are usually best left in the office though. Dress in your favorite pants, go to a men's fashion store, go up to the hottest lady working, and ask her "I want your opinion. Am I attractive in these pants?" They will give you an honest answer.

So long Greengrass, perhaps I'll see you next spring?

i say wear whatever the fukk you want.

that said, be mindful, clothes are more than just clothes, they do express a lot about you, so dress in a way congruent with who you are.

youll have no probs then.
