By burning bridges I meant you shouldn't answer with something rude or completely ignore her for the rest of your life like most others seem to suggest. This will not only put her off for life but could actually give you negative social proof for all your common acquaintances and every time you two are in a room, bar, party, whatever. That's not the DJ way of handling people.AIRWARRIOR71 said:why put the energy into her when ten other chicks who might have a higher IL are potentially available if you focus on others and not on this chick?
Women do all sorts of crap to test your reaction. You can't next her just because her idea of testing a guy is immature and disrespectful. How many women have you met who wouldn't test you? Probably none. Nexting chicks because of a dumb test means you won't be getting laid any time soon, or ever. She doesn't know it's immature and disrespectful. You can tell a lot about a woman by the type of tests she puts you through. You should see them as a source of information rather than excuses to bail out.
Putting energy into it is the worst thing you could do. However, this type of thing happens all too often and we should be able to take maximum advantage of it, and risking negative social proof and burning bridges is not the way to do it. Notice I said he should allow her to put energy into making a date with him, not the other way around.
What really happened is that she tried to pull a "power" play. It's actually a retarded spoiled bratty play but she doesn't know it. He didn't react so she sent a neutral message trying to find out how her power play worked. Notice she didn't say "sorry I didn't show up" or something like that. She was curious to see his reaction before even saying she was sorry or coming up with an excuse. That would bug me even more than actually getting stood up.
She has to be punished for doing that somehow. "No" might be a good reply. Fingers knows what he's talking about. So might "Yes."
I know people here think saying "yes" would be a mistake because it shows the chick she got to you. The other things it shows are way more important and are pretty much the same as when you say "no". Such as the fact that you don't care if you ever see her again. "Yes" has the advantage of establishing immediately that she has to appease you. "No" has the advantage of making you appear cool but it doesn't make it clear that you expect her to do a lot of work to just meet you.
Either way, that chick doesn't deserve as much time as I spent writing this post but I made some points you should take into account next 20 times someone tries to pull that stuff on you. For this particular girl I could only have a casual relationship. People on this board seem to underestimate the advantages of casual/FB arrangements.
