yeah extreme is pretty good and plus they got drink specials before midnight for like a buck...laboom was good too, but i dont like that it's divided into 3 parts, so u constantly have to walk through all 3 to check out the chicks..talking to saleswomen at eaton centre is pretty good, i actually thought of doing it myself, i actually did talk to one and she's pretty cool, but has a boyfriend...what worked was sorta play making fun of their merchandise, but i dont know if it would work on other sales women it did work on this one (like making recommendations of outrageous stuff they should sell at their store)...a good place to get emails is any of the university libraries...i've just done it at mcgill, but probably concordia would be better cause it has hotter chicks, maybe uqam too...oh yeah i also got good responses chatting with the waitress chicks at the clubs, i mean they're so hot that it's unlikely you'll get anything from them, but they're a great way to practice, although i cant do it too often cause i am poor and cant afford getting too many drinks, but if u make them smile u might even a get free drink

oh yeah i forgot..last week i went to the vatican and i got an email there, but i went there this weekend too but got shotdown...althought it's probably cause last week was halloween and there u could always talk about people wearing masks...plus bookstores are pretty good too, like indigo or chapters downtown, u can usually find some hot chicks there too just looking around for books or drinking coffee...just ask em what they're reading and if it's interesting and if they would recommend for u to read it (unless they're reading some girlie shyte)...or if they're browsing a section just point out a book that looks interesting...a good one is with lotsa pictures so u can look through it together...the chicks are usually friendly or at least courteous...although i am really chicken and approach very very rarely and sound like a retard when i do, but practice is practice...i am still learning what works and what doesnt, so i am probably not the best person to be giving advice, but i am just sharing my experiences...whatever u do, if you're having a longer conversation try to incorporate humor, cause if you're having a serious conversation it usually leads nowhere, at least in my experience...oh yeah and going out with friends is sometimes a double edged sword, it makes the evening more fun, but your friends can sometimes serve as ****blockers

I have been in much the same situation you are in. I'm just starting to get out of it now, partly due to this forum and partly to psych help.

The thing that hit me the other day, even with all this nlp, cbt etc. etc.. You still need to have the courage to just go and act. Don't get me wrong you will feel fear, probably intensly, but that's what courage is, feeling the fear and just doing it anyway.

I had to be part of a presentation in front of a whole lecture theatre yesterday, for once in my life instead of making an excuse and backing out, I just got up there and did it, and believe I could do it again. This is a positive confidence cycle, the more I face my fears the more confidence I have that I can do it again.

Each time you give in to these Social Anxiety fears, the thoughts and fears are just reinforced over and over. So it's down to you, just start getting out there and making yourself do these things, even if you do pass out
