So he's saying that if you stay single, you'll be able to focus all of your resources on yourself but will have no one around you in your time of need or when you die.

Conversely, if you use all of your resources for the needs of others, you will sacrifice yourself however you will be missed after you die.

All of this makes sense and falls true if you feel that you have to sacrifice to be regarded as a good person and to be remembered. Hmmm, reminds me of guy meeting a woman and spending tons of money on her to win her affection.

Yeah, an AFC will believe this but what happens after you die? Everyone else moves on, they will survive, they will go on with their life. This is easily done since whatever you were providing outside of yourself can be easily gotten from someone else.

Compare this to women who will go out with you just because you buy them dinner. They will go out with you as long as you are content for trading their company for food. As soon as you request more than they are willing to give, you are dropped. Why? Because it isn't hard to find another AFC that will take them to dinner.

I say live your life to the fullest without sacrifice. This doesn't mean hoard everything for yourself, just don't go into financial or emotional debt over it. There is a saying by the author Ayn Rand that goes "I swear on my life and my love of it that I will not live for the sake of another man nor ask him to live for mine." In a nutshell, I am not here solely for your benefit and I have the means to take care of myself.

Why sacrifice your life to someone because you have means? If that is the case, stop wasting time and just pass out blank checks. Why must you live like a beggar to be appreciated? What ever happened to people appreciating you for who you are and not what you can give them?

So many people settle for things in their lives and give until they bleed for the satisfaction of feeling that they will be rewarded after they are gone. Why wait? Enjoy who you are and enjoy the company of people who enjoy you for who you are.

The demands from both wife and chidlern are very costly. A man must always be the provider regarless of how much his woman makes.
With this in mind, a man doesn't really have a choice in the matter when he is married.

To find a new wife, he has to get rid of the old one and give her half his assets. You won't live like a king when they garnish 50% of your paycheck.

The solution is to stay single. Think about it - in a business world - would you invest in a single company all your life's work? Plus, if you want to buy the shares back, you automatically lose 50% of them.

Only a madman would invest like that. But men do it all the time.

Try not to think of it in economical terms. After all, he will still have his own yearly earnings, he'll maybe split up the money earned already, but his future earnings are still (mostly) his, assuming he has no children. When you die, you die, what matters is how much you enjoyed it, not how much money you had in the bank, that is an ice cold thought to have. If he can have less money but live a happier life then that is what he should do. Not make more but live a depressed life (which living like a beggar implies). As Henry David Thoreau once stated, "That man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest."

Money is a big part of happiness man. If you've ever had to live on your own, you'd feel that.
