Brothers,
Got a question for you all, especially those that have lived elsewhere. Currently in grad school, just so you get a sense of where I'm at.
Do you think American girls are worth pursuing? I mean actively pursuing for a long term relationship with, as opposed to just having a little fun with...
I've lived in the US for 23 years, and then lived in asia for 1 back in 09 (I'm not asian, had a internship there). I've dated my fair share, and I've felt more and more that American girls are just not worth it. Out of about 10 girlfriends I've had here, 3 of them cheated, and most were adamant about seeing all their guy friends and flirting with them etc. etc. I've learned the hard way that many of these "guys friends" turn out to be more like F buddies the second you split with the girl.
I just feel like women have this mindset here, where they should see as many guys as possible in their 20's or 30's before they settle down. Just look at the surge of films directed at women about finding the right guy, aka "eat.prey.love." However, most of these are not really about finding "the one," but about getting out there and sampling the most sausage they can.
Anyways, in asia, I found women were SOO much better relationship wise than here. When they're in a relationship with a guy, they're much more committed to him. While women may have guy friends, it is clear that they're not romantically interested in the least bit; it's just about you and her. I truly think it's just an entire cultural change.
I'm not trying to be politically correct here, I'm just saying it how it is. As they say 50% of all marriages in the US end in divorce.
