Am I To Intimidating?

When i'm out with my mates in a pub/club i often feel that women may be intimidated by me. I've a skinhead a goatee beard and unless you know me i look like a bit of a "thug". I'm also missing one of my front teeth (i got it punched out when i was younger) and i find it quite hard to smile because of this. So is there anything i can do to project a more "friendly" image (more i want in your underwear not your purse)?

Smile. I'm 90% sure that you are intimidating because you don't smile and laugh and look like you're having a good time. You probably look too serious. Girls have no problem with a bald head or goatee, but if you scowl at people and glare around the room, ANY girl is gonna avoid you.

As for the missing tooth, go to a dentist who can fashion a "retainer" of sorts that will fit on the roof of your mouth and will have a fake tooth that slips RIGHT into that spot so it looks like a full row of teeth (I knew a kid who had both front teeth knocked out in a friendly game of tackle football and he had one . . . I never knew until he popped it out to show me).

I'd have to agree with all of the above. The main priority now should be getting a tooth put into your mouth... not many guys would find a girl with missing teeth attractive; I'm sure it goes both ways. The goatee and skinhead are personal preferences, some women may find this attractive... the tooth though is a universal turn-off.

its a fake tooth that looks real for when you have one knocked out in the front.
the cost is less than $300, from your dentist.

i had an ex that had a tooth knocked out in the front from a mosh pit fight, you couldnt tell the flipper was fake.

Thanks for the replys. About the falses tooth thing i did have one but found it uncomfortable and it made me speak like an idiot and often used to pop out or move around (Stinkin NHS dentists ). As for growing my hair i have quite a high hair line which kind of makes me look a chump with any other hair style. As far as the confidence thing i'm actually quite a confident person it's more of a self esteem thing i have no problem flirting, or talking with women even using a bit of kino on occasion. I just seem to "talk" my self out of going any further thinking "she can't really be interested" or "shes just flirting with me for a bit of fun". I guess i just feel that i don't "deserve" someone and yes i know that SingleGuy4Ever ain't the best idea for a screen name it's just how i felt at the time .

Single, face up to it. you DO have a confidence problem. You say you don't, then go on to describe all the symptoms. Accepting this as your starting point will help you make progress.

I know getting good NHS treatment is difficult in the UK depending where you live.

However I'd say getting that tooth fix is worth perserverance and even shelling out cash. Unless of course having a hole in your teeth is a very good excuse not to break through any fear barriers you have.

If all else fails you could always audition for lead singer in the Pogues, as last time I saw him, he didn't look like he'd see the year out.

I'ts ok it wasn't that bad. I guess i separate "Sexual" confidence from normal confidence in that i'm not shy have no problems speaking to women (if i have some kind of rapport with). But it seems that when most guys go to the next level (kissing more sexual kino) i some how get stuck "waiting" for them to make the next move (which the don't and seem to lose interest). I guess i'ts because the group of friends i hang with are quite close and it would be difficult to remain "friendly" with a woman i had "crashed and burned" with . Also where i live you seem to need lot's of status or social proof to really be able to pick women up, (i't seems to be the same guys getting girls every weekend). And outside of my social group i don't have any status and it all comes down to looks.

One of the first and easiest things to do is change up your dress code. Clothes make the difference. Make your clothes more friendly looking (brighter colers, a little baggier, coler cordinate.) I have a friend with missing teeth, not a tooth but teeth, and he gets more women then most guys I know. But he dress really well; and get some fake glasses. Nice frames makes anyone look classier, and less thuggish.
