Quick story..

My Buddy is in town and his sister comes out with us. My buddy locks down a chick and leaves me and his sister at the bar.

Next thing I know (literally) I'm in a cab going back to his sisters place.

I'm pretty much right on the line of blacked out and fuzzy..

I was tripping that night cause her brother is a good friend. She told me well you can stay on the couch if you want but I'm going to bed. I said some **** about how her brother would be mad at us, she told me no, he'll be mad at you. Then I get her in bed and say some AFC **** about how cool she is and how she's what I've been looking for.. Again, she calls me out for my crazy talk and how I was just talking about my Ex 2 days ago..

Wake up next morning, I'm naked in her bed and sober enough not to say anything stupid. She's just got on some shorts and that's it.. We **** around for around 3 hours in the morning then she drops me off at my buddies house. She gets my number before she leaves cause the roads are icy and she wants to call me incase she gets stuck.

She calls like 30 minutes later to tell me she just lied to her brother and said I just stayed on the couch.. I'm in a car with 3 buddies so I tell her I'll hit her back later.

5 hours or so later I call her back, get a VM, tell her brother didn't ask me anything so she must have done a good job lying.

She calls me back later that night and I ask how she's feeling about lying to her brother, she says, well I feel bad, I feel like we should maybe tell him BUT if it's just a one night thing there is really no need.

I don't react to this.

I then start trying to get some details about how I ended up at her place cause I really had no idea, she asks how much I remember and I say stuff was fuzzy. We BS for around 50 minutes, talking **** back and forth. Then I tell her I should let her go, that I won't say anything to her bro and I'll let her know if I change my mind and that she should do the same.

SO

This chick is awesome.. Did I have a shot still or did I go to AFC? Was planning on waiting 3 days then calling her and asking her out.

Depending on how good friends you guys are, he might actually understand, you just have to prove to him she's not just another notch in your belt. I remember in high school, my friend wanted me to take his sister to Senior Prom and kinda insisted on it (she had a crush on me, I later found out) but because I figured I wouldn't want anything serious, I tried as kindly as possible to decline. This AFC behavior is probably why he felt comfortable asking me to take her out to begin with, but at the time I thought I knew better. Looking back, considering that her brother and I don't really talk anymore, it probably would have been alright if I took her and boned her just for kicks.

This is so common and so AFC... It's fishing for feedback and sounds like 'are you enjoying our conversation?' and 'I know your time is scarce while mine is worthless'...

Next time keep the conversation short and say that you must go (you're the one who's busy, you're the one who's not always available. And do that while the conversation is at its peak, that way you leave her wanting more...
