Watching the show from half a world away here. 1% contained. Gezus. All the houses are made out of wood. That's problematic, because wood burns. Concrete and brick does not burn. Another thing, total inability of firefighters to contain the blaze. Problem is absense of proper aircraft. This entire world has only two aircraft capable of proper operations.

Be-200 and US-2

The deployed aircraft, simply does not do the job.

Furthermore, that suppose to be the most expensive real estate in the world. Why is it build out of same materials as my friend's chicken pen? Concrete. Concrete with rebar. That's what I imagine when house prices are around 1 million. Frankly speaking, even 100k, that's concrete with rebar, maybe brick. Wood and framing that's way way bellow 100k, close to 30k.

Anyway. There should be a brand new federal agency which responds to disaster situations, including fires, and there should be fleet of about 10 to 20 specialized aircraft. Otherwise, with all the cash in local city and state disposal, there simply isn't enough expertise and inadequate equipement to fight such fires.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Prior to California there was Hawaii, mind you. Another fail, for same exact reasons. It has nothing to do with politics, everything with technology and execution.

Concrete doesn't do so well in an earthquake.
I watched videos from Palesades. Dude rode on e-bike and filmed,. There are many many videos like that. There are indeed some concrete buildings out there. We talking rebar and concrete. So earthquakes obviously is not a problem. Those buildings were standing, while around them buildings were burned completely. Also, mind you, downtown Los Angeles is made out of conrete all those sky scrapers.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Hi Sevbucmach,
We have truly massive fires down here,I have seen the amazing damage they can do....In one fire near my previous town, they talked of temperatures at the firefront of 1,300 degrees C...I saw a Car similar to your US Chevrolet that sat in a burned down farm shed, the Aluminium Manifold was melted!!! You could have a concrete house and get cooked inside....In the Victorian Bushfires of '39,people jumped into thousand gallon water Tanks and were boiled alive!
