This is a thought that i am getting these days.... I have read some biographies recently of buddha, gandhi etc.... these people were not someone who one can call alpha in traditional sense but they did some of the alpha or naturals stuff....
e.g. buddha met a bandit in forest who was notorious for murders, he remained calm, asked him few questions and this guy was bowled over. Simple as it may sound but isn't this what a true alpha would do....
gandhi was simple man but he was alpha male of group (AMOG) and man, his group was huge.... millions of followers. people just listened to him and followed him....
this is true for most of the leaders... some leaders use their alphaness to get women some dont... but they are all alpha (most of the times)....

when i draw parallels... there are many.. these men were calm and composed .... they knew their value and knew what they were speaking... they controlled their environment.... perhaps there methods were a bit different...
people were glad to be asked to do something from them.....
i think the comfort level generated by these people is even more than pot-smokers

perhaps i have seen only the similarities and not the differences... which may me many....
I leave it open to all to criticize these ideas and refute them....

welcome your thoughts on this!!!!

I don't really see Buddha as being alpha. He probably could have gotten chicks if he had wanted to, but only because his identity and frame were so strong.

In any case, I don't think our goals are really to be 100% alpha. There are alpha traits we should seek to incorporate, but I there are other traits that go above and beyond alphas. If our only examples of true alpha males come from nature, these alphas might be dominant, but at the same time they seem kinda insecure and horribly reactive. Dunno.

Everything you do. Starts in your mind!!! Being a Alphamale is a 'mind set' People who stay calm in a scary situation can controll their mind and emotions to not be scared. People who arn't afraid to walk up to a bigger guy and start fighting him.. Have a mindset that has nothing to fear. See what i'm getting at?

Defining Alphaness over spirituality, Jesus would be the most badass alpha ever! He had fame, girls, numerous followers and powerful enemies ;)
Simply couldnt resist to talk crap, sorry

Quite right. Jesus is my hero. ;)

I don't know that much about Buddha, but Ghandi always seemed like a real wuss to me. Just being a celebrity that people follow doesn't really make you alpha. Maybe I just don't like Ghandi because he was so socialist-leaning.

Buddha may have been kinda cool. There are a lot of Buddhist monks, tho, and I really can't stand monks, regardless of their religion. Also, Buddha always seems kinda fat in his statues.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

on somewhat of a tangent, does anyone think there is a correlation between the alpha male mindset and alpha brainwaves?

i dont want to get too much into detail... but essentially brainwave theory states that higher frequency beta mind states can cause stress and anxiety (as well as be used for rational or critical thinking, not very useful with women) whereas slower frequency alpha waves are seen in relaxed, creative, healthy individuals...

what if more than just a seduction term, alpha refers to an actual state of consciousness which is most conducive towards pimpin hoes?

one of the best ways to promote alpha brain waves is meditation, something that both jesus and buddha were very fond of... this all seems quite gestalt

when you are spiritual, you are sort of 'complete' mentally. You do not have any insecurity problems and you are confident from within. you have great integrity and nothing can really shake you. thats why you see a lot of spiritual 'gurus' actually have women show interest in them. so yea, i completely agree, if you are a spiritual person, you radiate confidence and cool that may show you off as an 'alpha male'.

Hey man I think the difference with Ghandi and Buddha, Jesus, is they're not alpha male they're more of like an Omega Male, where as they have alpha males following them, they're not just alpha men they're the leaders of alpha and beta men.

One more side note: 1) if you're looking for good books on alpha/spiritualness. check out David Deidas "way of the superior man" This guy would go out and meet all these spiritual leaders and "guru's" and theses guys would reach enlightenment and all that good stuff but at the same time he could sense this spiritual/sexual repression, when he'd ask them about their love lives or wives etc.

Also A good book on an alpha male is "long walk to freedom" By Nelson Mandela, One of the most solid framed guys I've ever read about, Spending 30yrs in Prison for his beliefs never faltering, never giving up........Now that.........that takes a real man to do.........

"It is the mark of an immature man to die nobly for a cause, while it is the mark of a mature man to live humbly for one" JD Salinger

Jesus wasn't that far off...
Jesus never really addressed economics one way or the other. Believing in sensible charity doesn't make you a socialist.

Ghandi, on the other hand, tried to be friendly toward Communist China because of all their "similar ideals"...until China betrayed him and took over the northeastern part of his country.

I ran into a guy I went to high school with ten years ago. He was always in choir, which I considered pretty gay, but he got into starting his own church ministry and was in several travelling religious singing groups. I saw his myspace page, and his wife is hot! Women go for religious leaders.

That's basically it, in my opinion. When you're in this mindset, you don't see yourself as below anyone. You don't see yourself as above anyone. You know that you are just as good as anyone and anyone is just as good as you. I'm not talking about social skills or what appears to show you have "high value", it's just knowing that deep down, on a fundamental level, we're basically all the same, from the *****y attention ***** to Jesus.

There ARE no alpha males. There is the PERCEPTION on a biological level, that the Alpha Males exist, but when you're like the post quoted above, you're just in a different reality.

I mean, how many "alpha males" walk around thinking "yeah I'm alpha, dude I'm so alpha". Yes, at the beginning, this is exactly what you think... but once you're past that stage, you're just you. Being beneath or above another, won't register (hopefully).

And like most things, over-explaining it tends to cloud it.
