Moderating this site is a walk in the park compared to some sites. The subject matter isn't really controversial for the most part and the flames are quite mild. I used to run a Gender Issues forum that got several thousand posts a day. I moderated it by myself and the subject matter was highly controversial and volatile. Imagine a site more active than this one with half of the members being radical feminists and the other half being angry men that hate feminism...and with no topic being off limits. This site doesn't even allow political discussions at all because of how volatile it gets very quickly. The site I moderated alone was almost entirely political and the subject matter instilled a great amount of passion in people.

Some of the moderators here are just lazy and don't want to do the job. They would rather sacrifice the integrity and quality of the site than make even the most minimal of efforts to...well...actually moderate. Using avoidance techniques and just shutting down entire threads and discussions instead of deleting problem posts is NOT moderation. If they aren't willing to put the quality and integrity of the site first, they shouldn't be a moderator...period.

No, I got it right. You're is way off, though. I don't "blather", I "preach". I'm not at all ignorant...I'm quite intelligent, actually. I AM twisted. I'm not cheap or a hooker. In fact, if anything I'm probably too picky.

Listen, I don't want the pet names because I'm not here to be all cutesy and flirt. I'm here to give advice and in this forum I'm attempting to prevent this site from sinking into the sewer by being so adamant in my complaints. It would seem that a couple of the moderators like to hurl around the tired old "Attention Wh*re" charge...and I'd really rather not have anyone post stuff to me that they wouldn't say to any of the other guys on here. Don't take it personally.

Bigger is not always better. Quality above quantity is my motto. There USED to be substance and fresh, good material posted regularly here. Not so anymore.
