This seems to be happening a lot.
I meet a lot of girls in school, especially dance classes and for some reason the girls who are the nicest and the most fun to talk to always end up having boyfriends. And I'm not asking them out and getting the "I have a boyfriend line," I'm just guiding the conversation down a path where she volunteers her relationship status.
For example there is going to be a big dance on the college campus in a couple of weeks and the instructor mentioned selling tickets. So I ask a girl I know if she's bringing any guests, she says no, then I say something like, "You're not going to bring your boyfriend?" Then she said something like "No he doesn't dance and he's not going to have fun." Just once I'd like to hear a girl say, "I don't have a boyfriend."
I can probably do this with half the girl in the class and I bet that 70% are in a relationship.
Somehow I have to find the ones that are single, and somehow get them to hang out with me. Right now the hard part is trying to figure out which girls I might actually have a shot with. So far the ones I thought I had the best chance with are taken.
