I was recently released back into the wild as an AFC (4yr LTR). I've adapted to the ways of the aspiring DJ. Enough so that I was able to hook back up with the EX-GF, and showing her my new bed regularly.

Part of my journey to AFC was my drinking habits. I was drinking a 6pk of beer every other night. Not only did I get fat, it made me emotional. I also liked reefer- this increases estrogen levels too.

Long story short- Alcohol lowers your testosterone production, slows your metabolic rate (fat burn), and stunts your anabolic rate (muscle growth).

I caught myself slipping last night. I had some beers two nights in a row. She called to talk before bed (hate this) & all of the topics we're leading me to emotional tampon-land.

Stay on your toes. Don't drink alcohol more than once a week to keep that testosterone level high.

It's a poison, so you use ANY of it at severe risk to your health, and I have to question your sense if you risk it at all.

I try to keep drinking to weekends only, or once a week. Also, if you know your going to be drinking, see/talk to her before you do. This way you get out of having to talk to her later

really? i think alcohol helps my personality as i instantly become carefree and its easier to talk to them

That's a very good point you raised. Your journey from AFC-dome to (hopefully) DJ land should aslo include a heavy dose of working out. This will not only help your appearance, but it should also help curtail your drinking habits. At least for me the equation is simple: if I spend 1.5 hours at the gym, there's no way I'm gonna go home and start downing beers, bloating out my belly and destroying all the hard work I put in pushing weights.

So ya, I keep it to weekends only, during the week I stick with protein shakes :cool:

Alcohol destroys the following organs:
liver, pancreas,stomach,kidneys,heart,nervous system,testes(balls),bladder
lungs,brains and every other god damn organ in your body...i
if your brain is functional youll stay away from it...nuff said

I live by the philosophy of "If I'm going to drink at all, I'm going to drink well, and NEVER alone."

I keep a bottle of expensive scotch at all times to have a drink with a good friend that I haven't seen in awhile. It usually takes me 9 months to a year to go through the bottle.

A couple of times a month I take the time to prepare a good meal for myself and my girlfriend, and I like to have a good wine that complements the food.

But that's about it for me. The rest of the time I drink water and milk, and a bit of juice. It's worked pretty well for me.

I pretty much only drink with women.

While not drinking at all may be perfect for your testosterone it's not perfect for banging. Girls are more likely to bang when drunk and if you're the only one not drinking that looks weird.
