I was recently released back into the wild as an AFC (4yr LTR). I've adapted to the ways of the aspiring DJ. Enough so that I was able to hook back up with the EX-GF, and showing her my new bed regularly.
Part of my journey to AFC was my drinking habits. I was drinking a 6pk of beer every other night. Not only did I get fat, it made me emotional. I also liked reefer- this increases estrogen levels too.
Long story short- Alcohol lowers your testosterone production, slows your metabolic rate (fat burn), and stunts your anabolic rate (muscle growth).
I caught myself slipping last night. I had some beers two nights in a row. She called to talk before bed (hate this) & all of the topics we're leading me to emotional tampon-land.
Stay on your toes. Don't drink alcohol more than once a week to keep that testosterone level high.
