wow theres some pretty interesting statistics about age groups of offenders. heres the chart (Its labled "Homicide offending rates followed a similar pattern"):

http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/homicide/teens.htm

There defintely was a rash of adolecent violence in the 1990s. What the hell was going on between 1985 and 1995?! Recently, though, it looks like crime for both 14-17 year olds and 18-24 year olds is about the same now as it was in 1975.

I wish it had statistics for earlier... like going back to 1950 or before, but there seems to be a difference between public opinion and reality.

What, being religious?

The fact that this was written about in the Bible proves my point on its own. I could give you many more examples to show how you are wrong, but it should be obvious at this point. So, even if I were religious it still wouldn't discredit me in the least. :p

poor father, feel bad for him.

In one night, his house was burned down, his daughter became a murderer, his wife was killed, and his two boys were killed.

That's a hard pill to swallow...

It is truly amazing how quickly ones life can be turned upside down. I wonder what he will do with himself now.

On the flip side, I honestly have to wonder if perhaps he brought this upon himself... it was his daughter who did this, after all. Are we not responsible for our children?
