I recently read an article on "Womens Battered Shelters." I was disturbed and also enlightened by the counselors at these centers who witness a "revolving door process"....meaning that they see many battered women going back to their abusing husbands and boyfriends. Why? It is related to security issues, money, no where else to go, or maybe respect for their husbands and boyfriends ---which I think is the best answer.
It made me start to think about all my male friends and relatives that beat their girlfriends and wives. Im not a social scientist, but ironically, many years later these couples are still together.
I had asked the question. What makes a woman stand by her man after he beats her? I discovered the answer to that question many years ago.
In 1990 I had been in an altercation with a girlfriend and was taken back by the fact the more I abused her----the more she grew to respect me. The mor she wanted to stand by my side. Yet, the ones I dated in the past who I was relaxed and laid back with would always dump me or cheat on me. I was dumped because I didnt slap my girl around enough or push her around. Now she is with a cop who is doing that and she stays! He wins, I lose.
I am not an advocate of abusing women physically. But I honestly believe most women are drawn to physically abusive men who can dominate them. Its a psychological disposition that some women can relate.
I think if I would have been a little more physical with my girlfriend and slapped her around a bit when she was being bad---she would be right her by my side. But shes not---instead she dumped me for a cop who is probably physical with her and it makes me feel like less of a man.
Many women can identify with abusive men and see men as the protector and provider. Here are some examples. Ted Bundy murdered over 33 young women. He strangled, raped, and beat them to death. Yet, Ted Bundy had so much "female attention" and female fan mail after the murders that the prison guards had to stop the incoming mail. Most of the mail that was read were proposals for marriage. Bundy wasn't shocked. He had said "some women found his violent stimulus---highly desirable and mysterious." Almost as if they crave romance novels and fantasy. Many other notable criminals had said "women are like dogs, the more you beat them the more they love you."
Even Sean Connery had said "he would slap a woman from time to time if she got out of line." Many women still find Connery very sexy. But I think it has more to do with his fame of course rather than his temper.
I think men who act more like physical men can go further with women than average men who dont display much physical aggression. I believe from my experience men get dumped by not being PHYSICALLY MASCULINE ENOUGH.
Women seem to be very attracted to these types of physical men and would never consider dumping these types:
A.) The physical abuser. He slaps her around, kicks her, beats her, pushes her, shoves her around. Raises his voice with her. In other words he doesnt put up with any of her sh*t. She knows who the boss is in the relationship. The bad boy type. Types of physical abusers: Bikers, criminals, felons, prisoners, police officers, rockstars, daredevils, firemen, cowboys.
B.) The successful type. Makes very good money. Wears suits, lives a good lifestyle, treats her with average interest. Doesnt kiss her ass. Focuses on his career and she is just along for the ride. Types of successful men: CEO, Moviestar, Business Owner, Enterpenuer, Banker, Real estate Developer.
C.)The boring type. Steady eddie behavior. Has a pension. Good benefits, decent pay. He is slow in his movements. He is calm, cool, and collected. He has a routine, anal retentive, and sticks to a plan. Decisive and calculated in his behavior. Very predictable. Types: Accountant, tax collector, govt. official, engineer.
These are 2 types that women will mostly reject or dump:
A.)Artistic-romantic type. Loves beauty,music, beauty in everything, poetry senstive, writes love notes, plays music, acts, paints, draws, and loves self-espression. Self-absorbed. Types: Actor, poet, musician, painter, sometimes a teacher, female type careers.
B.)Nice guy-Helper. Wants to do good. Good smaritan. Belongs to causes like Crusades. Pleases everyone.. Kisses ass. Seeks attention. Is warm and friendly. Good natures. Nice boy. A good do-er.
Types: Waiter, nurse, flight attendant, teacher, advocate, and crowd pleaser.
I think we are all a mixture of all of them---But i think most men are purely one type. Which one are you?
Some guys like my biker friends are so in control of their women. They are MASTERS with women. They can manipulate women, dominate them, and their girlfriends will never stray. They got their women wrapped around their fingers and those women wouldnt dare cheat on them or they would get beat.
I strongly believe women want men to become PHYSICAL MEN and stand their ground with them----even if it means violence. Women need to know you are a man and can dish out pain on them---or they will dish out the pain on you by sleeping with another guy behind your back and eventually dumping you while you are drowning in your tears. Get tough with women!
