So me and my buddies are out at a club as sort of a going away party for one of us. He's one of the quiet types (I wouldn't really call him AFC because he's usually not looking to get any) but at any rate i want to get him a girl to dance with. I spot a group of three that are headed to the dance floor and have him follow.
I approach one and say something along the lines of "my friend here is such a great guy it makes me feel bad and would love to dance with one of your friends." I start dancing with 1, my friend with 2, and 3 is left out so after a song i tell 1 to go dance with her friend. As we part ways, i try to learn her name and can't quite hear her, but smile, wave and go find the rest of my group.
A bit later i see her headed to the dance floor again. We make eye contact and she grabs my hand and we dance for a few more songs and yet again, i can't hear her name and she can't quite get mine either. When i leave this time she kisses me on the cheek.
Towards the end of the night, i'm coming back from the bathroom alone and spot her and her friends talking to some other guys. As i pass by, she looks thrilled to see me and totally cuts off the guy she's talking to so that she can grab me. She says "ok, you're staying here and you're going to learn my name." We get to talking a little bit (all the while escalating a lot of kino, she kissed me twice this time)... finally learn each other's name and talk about where we're going to school etc...
I do the whole C&F about my school being better at sports than hers etc... and when her friends tell her they've gotta leave, she tells them to hold on for a few more minutes. At this point i ask for her number, get it and she heads out. A few minutes later i send a text of "So for the final record my name is X and this is my number" to which she replies "Haha, i'm glad we've cleared it up, we should hang out some time"
I'm still not entirely sure how i did so well other than turn the not knowing each others' name thing into a little game but i'm not complaining at all either
. I also didn't kiss her even though i was getting so much of it from her because 1) i don't find it in very good taste in public and 2) i wanted to see how she would react. I just kinda kept on talking whenever she would kiss me. Anything you would have done differently?
