Im 17 and i usually talk to girls 15-16 years old. Lately ive been paranoid ever since i read this article online about this teenager getting sent to prison because he was 17 and he had sex with a 15 year old. Im afraid that if i did have sex with someone under age that i'd get caught somehow. If i was to get caught what would happen, i mean to press charges do they have to catch you in the act, could it be as simple as someone reporting it. If anyone knows about the justice system or whatever could you fill me in. Maybe it's not as bad as i think but i just want to be informed. Besides any tips on how to handle this situation.

where are you geograpically? different places have differnt laws regarding this.
i'd say a very low percentage of kids actually get caught.
I do think that those that are caught are either very indiscreet, or piss off the chick or her family.

I heard of a case like it in Georgia where the guy was 17 and the girl was 15. I think he ended up losing a football scholarship while being put in prison. It happened in a small town and the two were different races, so I think that had more to do with it than anything. My advice is just wait till after high school and even then be careful who you lay with. Some women of any age will lie just to get back at you and send you through hell just to get your name cleared. So either wait, or get an older woman.

Obviously, follow the laws, but fwiw, one thing every underage prosecution always has is a pissed-off parent. Don't piss off daddy.
The overwhelming vast majority of registered sex offenders are guys who when they were a teenager screwed their underaged teenage girlfriend. They aren't a real danger to society but they are now alongside sex predators insofar as law is concerned. Their names, faces, residential addresses are published and forever are stripped of privacy; there are restrictions to where they can live and with a felony conviction they are hard pressed to ever get a real job.

dude well if u say that a 17 year old banging his 16.5 year old gf shudnt be illegal then people will stretch it further and further.. then someone says hey well i should be able to be 18 and bang a 16.5 yr old.. then it keeps going - eventually someone will put in a cutoff and then once again people will say HEY WHATS WRONG WITH A "x" YEAR OLD BANGING HIS "x-1" YEAR OLD GF... repeat..

Half your age + 7 should be how the law works. At the age of 18 you can hook up with a 16 year old. At that age both parties should understand what is going on.
Why would you want to make it so highly restrictive? The legal age in AR is 16. You'd have that raised to 26 for me.Upside said:

Heya. I like to smoke weed. Love it, my thing! Law is such that if I get caught even with a tiny spec of weed, I can be arrested, tortured, and sent to Guantanamo prison death camp.
Things are even more against me since I'm an undercover truth activist ("American insurgence"), with videos and blogs going to scope of William Cooper's 9/11 false flag prediction of June 28 2001. In other words, if FBI ever gets hold on me with some weed, I better learn to enjoy taking it in the ass.
Though, this does not stop me from smoking weed once in a blue moon.
Thus my point, just because its illegal, does not mean it's bad, or you shouldn't do it. True, if you don't do it, good for you. But face it, you'll be banging those chicks, and it's even fun.

It sounds strange to me you can get arrested for sleeping with a girl who is 2 years younger than you. I don't think you should be worried. Whenever you get caught or something or someone makes a big deal out of it, say you love her. What's so wrong with that? As long as she doesn't press charges on you, you shouldn't worry.
