In summary

: had an absolutely disastrous first date with a girl about six weeks ago because she freaked when I tried to hold her hand - "moving too fast" for her - this is in spite of a good six months of build up and rapport by text (she was away hence the time)

- went no contact ; only message she sent me was a YouTube link to a song which I didn't bother with ; she seemed disinterested and made up her mind that I wasn't her guy.

I reinitiated contact - not that bothered but just a hey and good vibes kinda message - got one back saying "no. You didn't write back to me."

I assume she's just pissed because she isn't getting the attention but I'm not going to lose sleep over this because she isn't interested in me either. Just a bit surprised and not sure how to read this?

Any advice please and thanks! This forum is so helpful.

Maybe you texted too much. It removes your mystique. Text to set up the date and very little else.

No more keyboard jockeying . Action is the place.

Agreed, also the fact he was texting her 6 months prior, and yet she still wouldn't let him touch her, just shows that she had 0 comfort with this dude. Texting a lot does not equal good rapport. Being with her, face time, and building a connection is what builds the rapport you need to lay her.

When you have to work or think this hard, it means the girl doesn't like you.

Things are always very easy when they like you. Take the hint dude. Don't be desperate.

Its best not to be touchy feely or use "kino" on the first date. It makes you look desperate. That stuff is for chicks!

One date went wrong, oh well. Keep on meeting more!

Disagree .. I always use light kino on a first date and see how she responds to it .. then escalate from there .. has led to many first night lays

I disagree as well. It's part of what I do and it works for me. Stop worrying about women think and do what you want.

Flirting was invented by women as an attention-seeking device. Society tells a woman that it is improper to ask a man out. So women flirt to get your attention to let you know, non verbally, of their ROMANTIC interest in you.

It is not necessary for a man to flirt. He doesn't have to 'telegraph' his romantic interest . That's because HE does the asking out.

When a man flirts it works against him. He is 'telegraphing' too much romantic interest. Much too much.

You don't have to use this advice. That is up to you.
I'm against flirting.

six months? unless you only talked to her for 5 minutes every other day there's no reason it should take that long.

also she's either mental or she REALLY didn't like you if she freaked over something so minor. unless she's like 12 years old and holding hands is still a big step for her
