Even making the grand assumption that you will get some great job just by being a frat grad, which is a giant and dangerous assumption, the average frat guy party animal has about a 2.2 gpa. That means that you will never in your life have more than a 4-year degree: no mba, no law school, no med school, no Master's of any kind. Over your lifetime, this will seriously limit your earning potential. The trade-off is four years (maybe five, lol) of beer-drinking in exchange for a lifetime of mediocre wages.
I would hate to be in your shoes, too, man. Those bigger fish are the ones with the graduate degrees that you'll never have.
Whether or not being in a Frat helps or not if you have your shiit together you can make it work out for you. It's the weak minded people who go to a frat and end up leaving with a shiity gpa because the don't know how to balance. I do plan to join a Frat and based on who I am I have no doubt that I will have a good time and will be one of the frat boys who have the best parties on college and bang the hottest chicks.
Is that to say that I’m going to lose all focus of my future and graduate with a shiity gpa. NO! it doesn't Only the fools who get to caught up in the moment are the fools who forget about their future. My social life and my academic life will both excel while I’m in college. Just for the fact that I sold my self short in high school, but I was a foolish kid back then. I'm determined to prove to myself that I will be the Best Leader I can while in college and also maintaining my grades. It's really not hard if you have the right mindset and balance.
However that may be too deep for some of the people here.
