I spent ages 19-33 living in NYC and traveling all over the world as much as possible while in school and working in restaurants. I have now moved to a much smaller city (albeit still with insanely high rent prices), and continue to work in the restaurant industry, even though I am unhappy with it. My problem is: I have no savings.

I have spent all my money on international trips and moving, and am left with nothing. I live paycheck to paycheck, and now as a single 35-year-old, I’m terrified no one will love me because I have “nothing to offer” financially. I also have a low credit score. Traveling remains a huge part of my life and offers some of the only happiness I experience. I’m torn between using what little money I can put away on another trip, or putting it in savings and just allowing the misery of daily life with no breaks to take over.

This "Broke Backpacker" girl can use her backpacking skills to help dumpster forage with her homeless bf's. That's something to offer.

Looking for Athena Valentine leads to this photo.

You know her poor choices start with food.

This "Broke Backpacker" girl
She's 35, childless, and works in the restaurant industry. She's probably not a career woman, which is appealing. I bet plenty of men would be interested in her if she's not fat.

She'll have to alter her expectations a little bit, but she could easily be married within 2 years.

Just take a new direction if you need to. There is no use moping around about being some peter pan for too long.

Honestly if you look through dating profiles most women just post a bunch of international travel photos. These women travel around the world alone, sleep with all kinds of dudes, and come home acting like it never happened and then become dog moms instead of settling down.

They might live in big exciting cities like LA or NY and be in their 30’s (time to settle down) but their profiles show no local photos at all. They are not marriage material if you ask me.

They are flighty. Worse is they get all upset if you are settled down and would rather not take 5 vacations per year. I can care less about riding a donkey in Machu Pichu, or climbing glaciers in Iceland.

They go off on a tiff with me when I do not share the peter pan enthusiasm.

in other words you have some common ground with these babes.

and just he honest you are out of money. Why lie? Or get a dog. Many women who overdo it with traveling are dog moms.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.
