Who in their right mind would actually want acne?

I never tried that, but products with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide work pretty well.

Yeah, pimples and red marks aren't exactly the greatest things ever (looks in mirror and cringes) but that shouldn't stop you from DJing...Hasn't stopped me from getting good looking girls either...

No need to flame guys acne is a thing that affects a LOT of people including DJ's. Whats the big problem there?

I think that DJ's SHOULD be concerned with acne to a certain extent. If you have only a few unnnoticable blemishes and are worried then your confidence needs to be worked on...big time. However if your face is covered in pimples and showing no sign of improvement then go to a dermatologist.

I personally went on accutane and now I'm 99.9% clear still, and that was over a year ago at this stage. But be warned it is a VERY strong medication and to this day I still get slightly chapped lips and GOD AWEFUL hangovers(but then again I do drink a lot!), 2 remnants of the drug. If I went back in time and had the chance to do it again then I probably would tbh, it was the only thing that worked for me.

Acne is a major turnoff. Your game can be great, but acne will still be a limiting factor. You not only want to have a great DJ game, but a DJ look. Goto the dermatologist. Trust me, its worth it. I got some anti biotics and Retna Micro (cream at night) and my face is 100% clear.

The antibiotics took more then a full month until they took effect because they need to build up.. but now acne is gone and not comin back :)

Goodluck with the stridex, it works for some people.

Treatment for Acne

I've been really lucky, having clear skin, but some of my girlfriends are affected by it, and it blows. So here's some info- and an Aromatherapy treatment that helps. :)

Acne is an inflammatory skin disorder caused by an over-production of sebum. The exact cause of acne is not known, but some factors include stress, diet, and genetic predisposistion.

Some essential oils I'd suggest for treatment: Cajeput, Lavender, Tea Tree. (You can ask for them at any Health Food Store or Hippie-Hang-Out.)

Useage:

(Mix 1 drop of essential oil to every 10 drops of carrier oil. So if you use all 3 above-mentioned oils, add to 30 drops of carrier.)

~ Combine essential oil with a carrier oil such as grapeseed and apply to skin. (Jojoba oil is really good for the skin, and regardless of what is said, applying a light oil to the face will not cause breakouts.)

~Add a few drops of essential oil to a fragrance free and lanolin free cream or lotion and massage into skin

~Add a few drops to rose flower water, for use as a toner (Ok, this one is a little gay, but whatever works. Put it in a bottle called "Stud-Juice" or something.)

Just a word of caution: If your skin is sensitive, use the essential oils well diluted in the carrier oil, cream or lotion. If the skin is inflamed, do not massage.

And drink plenty of water. Best thing for clear skin. :)

Try Proactiv. That sh1t worked wonders for me. however, it hasnt been cutting the job lately and im going to see a dermatologist in the next couple weeks. My acne isnt severe, but i do get it. its just like lone pimples, like 1 on my cheek right now. Which sux ass.

BTW Smoking cigs, drinking alcohol, and touching your face alot are a big cause of acne. So if you want clear skin, quit smoking, dont drink, and dont touch your face with dirty hands.

And most of all, DONT POP THOSE ZITS.

The medical community is slowing beginning to agree more and more that the cause of acne has been discovered: a Pantothenic Acid deficiency. Though the concept is still a hypothesis, the treatments worked extremely well for me and dozens of others. So how do you do it?

Go to your nearest health food store, grab some 1 gram (1,000 mg) capsules of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). Take 5 grams daily, before bed with at least 12 ounces of water.

Some people see results in as little as a few days, EVERYONE I've recommended this to sees results in 2 weeks.
