The big thesis that Pook made a few years ago was that being a DJ is self-improvement, that you have to work on yourself until you become the kind of guy who gets what he wants, whether it's women or something else.
however, there's a problem with this premise: isn't that just playing the chick's game? If you work on yourself and become very accomplished, attractive, and well-to-do, all you've done is made yourself more competitive against the other men out there.
