One day, when me and my gf were talking, it turned out that she had a thought about something. When I asked her what it was, she said that she couldn't tell me, and even her best friends didn't know it. So I told her:
"It's not about the secret, but trust. I'm disappointed because I feel I'm not being trusted. You know that the foundation of a good relationship is trust, don't you?"
She answered: "I've always been trying to be honest and open to you. But please, only for this one thing, allow me to keep it to myself. I know that you're disappointed. But if I tell you this, I'm afraid it'll make you disappointed even more."
There's no point of pushing her because I knew she just wouldn't bug. So I just agreed with her.
It's been said that there are things that you better off not knowing. But is this one of them? Because I have a feeling that this secret is something that will affect my view of her. What should I do? And what's your thought about keeping secrets in a LTR. Is it healthy?
Thanks
