I have worked at Banana and Express.

I loved working at Express, I owned that store and I worked with alot of cool kids, at least the people that had been there for awhile and had gotten past the whole, "I'm so hot because I'm working at Express/Banana/Crobie". Man I had fun working there, me and another guy used to get drunk and party with our bosses all the time. I haven't worked there for over a year now and I still chill with some of my coworkers.

Banana was mostly young professionals working there for the discount, alot of teachers, lol. I didn't like Banana nearly as much as Express, at Banana they really had an "air" about themselves that I found silly, "Your working retail, idiot!". Still there were a couple cool people there, though not as many hotties as one would come to expect.

Abercrombie: I have a friend that worked there for 3 days and quit because he couldn't stand the douchbags that worked there and thought they were fvcking models or something, lol. That was his experience with it, and do to that I carry some prejudices against Crombie, not to mention I went one of thier regional Christmas parties last year and was disapointed. Keep in mind I'm 22 and the average Crobie kid is 17 maybe, so if your younger you might really like it, there are definetly alot of hotties working there.

I expect that you will like it, just don't expect to make a ton of money...

Update!

Just got back from A&F.
Took me awhile to punch in because the computer's buttons were really sensitive.Anywho, went into the stock room and put sensors on some clothes, folded them, and placed them on their correct shelves. Man, all of the shelves are really unorganized it was killing me and the other 2 people I was working with. Oh yeah, by the way, the vibe in the store is cool and I met alot of my co-workers and they were nice.

I'll post more later.
If anyone has a ? post it and I will be happy to answer.

You've got to be 18 to work at the adult store. 17 is only at the A&F Kids store...

Here's what you'll be doing... putting sensor tags on new merchandise, folding it, then either sticking it in the stock room or putting it out on the floor.

Update!!!!!!!!!!!

I was originally scheduled to punch out at 9 but, I asked my manager at around 8 if I could stay till 10(to help close down the store). Now its around 9-40 and I started to look around for my manager to tell her that I was going to punch out. But, I walked around the store trying to find her and I couldn't. Matter of fact no one was in the store. I yelled and screamed hoping someone will hear me but, no one answered. I looked around the store throughly to make sure if anyone was there but no one was to be seen. Nobody is in the store and I'm locked in! I waited in the store for a few more minutes because I hoped my manager would remember she left someone behind and that she will open the door. I realized she wasn't coming so I called 911 and they called the other manager of the store. So, the other manager let me out and she was shocked that it happened, and etc... After I left the store and came home my dad wanted to know where I was. I told him,"I got locked in the store." He started laughing and he couldn't believe it. After he stopped laughing, he put the blame on me saying that it was my fault that I got locked into the store. It actually wasn't my fault because: A)I told the manager ahead of time that I was going to punch out at 10 instead of 9; B)The manager always has to walk out the employees who punch out; C)She could have aleast checked the computer who punched out to make sure no one is in the store.
I just wanted to vent about my day at A&F

P.S.

I'm working again tommorow doing inventory!:nervous:

Whoa! That could have been dangerous. You mean the manager left before 10? Again since you are new this will slide but don't let any negative impression b4ormed about you (being dumb) When I used to close a store, we'd all get together at the puter and clock out together and do one final sweep across the store to check up. That's scary. Good thing everything ended on a good note. Hopefully your manager won't get into any 'trouble' for it. Isn't this A&F in a mall???

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Yes the manager left way before 10 and personally talk to her the next time I work to find out what she was thinking. And the A&F is located in an outside mall. BTW, I'm not worried if other people think I'm dumb or anything about being locked in. But, if they want to know how it happened I will tell anyone. And it wasn't my fault at all that I got locked in. Because the manager was supposed to walk everyone that clocked out and I didn't punch out before she left.

make it into a funny story for the employees..
good way to make a good impression.

Eg. I was trying to hide out in the store so i could have a party with all the manequins (spelling) but then i got really hungry so i wanted to leave.

Or even better.

I was trying to hide out in the store so i could have a party with all the manequins but then Herman attacked me because I was flirting with his girlfriend.

they'll be all "who's Herman?"

He's that guy over there <point at male manequin>. I can't beleive you don't know him. He's been working here for 5 years!
