Like you said - overt vs covert. Aren't there some street pickup videos where there are guys bringing girls home within a few minutes? They don't specifically say let's go have sex, they just imply it. A guy I used to work with picked up a chick at a minimart on the way home from work. He didn't mention anything about having sex.
