Over the summer I started lifting weights as much as i could. I tried to keep on a strict every other day schedule, and did fairly well at it.

Now that I don't have access to a gym, or ANY free weights (for now im not going to explain why), I have been doing the following routine:

Every single morning after I wake up:

35 pushups
80 crunches
45 bicep excercises with a back-pack full of books (probalby about 10 pounds, and I think the term is "curls" but i'm not sure since i've never been up to date on weight lifting jargon)
45 "calf-up" holding that same back-pack (basically going up and down on my tip-toes.

At night, on a day-to-day basis:

x amount of pushups, every day adding 1 (currently on 80..very hard..I usually collapse and then add 10 to what I didn't do afterwards)

x amount of crunches (adding 1 every day, currently on 160

x amount of bicep excercises with that back-pack (currently on 70)

x amount of "calf-ups" (currently on 80)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

NOW, I was going to ask you guys to critque my "routine" (even though it is weak) and add some other suggestions of some excercises you know I can do without any equipment other than household items and myself. Also, is doing stuff like this going to increase my physical appearance or just make me stronger? I've been doing this about 1-2 months now after a summer of weight-lifting.

My diet is not that great, I try to eat protein and eat a lot, sometimes I fail though. I am very scrawny, about 6-foot and weigh precisely 147 pounds.

Thank you guys, I appreciate the help.

i dont see why theres absolutely no reason why you cant get to a gym...and i expecially dont agree why you cannot get ANY freeweights.

the truth is your only going so far without weights. you could try doing various bodweight squats, but again, to get mass, you need weight.

theres simply not any miracle exercises that cannot be done without using weights if gaining mass is your goal.

Sounds great.. I was able to do 80 consecutive pushups while in MI.. then I moved back and stopped.. I got a question though.. What is a curl, and what is a crunch?
