Im interested to find out if there is a link between the AFC/Nice Guy, and whether they were raised by their Mother or their Father (as far as VALUES and Perspectives on life)

and if you WERE raised by your father.I'd like to know if he was a supplicating AFC with your mother ( i.e. yes, dear, yes dear)

or was he more Dominant like ARchie Bunker or Al Bundy

if you dont fit in any category..just post your parent style to your current personality style

You have to remember too that some people may have been raised partway through their childhood with both parents and something happened to one of them like a divorce or death or something. It might help your statistics if you account for that.

I'm a nice guy raised by mom primarily. My dad usually was only home weekends and stuff. Got home after we were sleep, woke up before we did. Thanks to this site, I now consider myself a DJ. My dad is C&F, but I didn't get as much influence as I needed.

I am a mamas boy to the core, not saying that my dad wasnt in my life. I mean they're still happily married and ive had them both in my life since i was born.

Im alot closer to my mom because we just have that mother/son bond.

I guess you could say im a bit chauvenistic.

i was pretty much raised by myself (single mother NEVER at home, who acted younger than me anyways). i didn't have any rules growing up. i always tell people i was raised by _______. (books, cats, men, ect., whatever influenced me greatly). i can definately point out traits i took from my mother, tho.

to better answer your question i'd say i am a nice guy (that was my vote) but it is mostly from
a) being like 8 years old and having to defend my mother from idiot boyfriends who took advantage of her (she not brightest)

b) books. straight up. its where i got most of my morals/values/insights

What are you planning to do with this information? Are you going to determine why some people are natural AFC's and others not.

Nor about being a nice guy before i came to this site- and then becoming a man while still having both parents.

As for MAIN nuturing parent. I don't know about you... but since my parents have always been there for me, they both played equal roles in my up bringing.

hmmm your right I didn't even look at his options...how strange. I wonder what he is trying to say as to the reason so many people are AFC.

I have a buddy who used to be an AFC. Infact he was called the pink plug since women plugged into him so well as far as someone to talk to and be friends with.

His parents are extremely well off and he was like me raised by both of them.
