When I'm talking to a girl, and she says something stupid, I say "your lucky your cute". this implies shes dull, but shes still flattered. Works well for me.

Another example.

Her: "Do these jeans make me look fat?"

You: "I, think you look great."

Emphasis on the "I".

That way you are essentially saying "Yes, you are fat and you are lucky to be with a guy like me."
