I am just curious what is everyone's take on this? What is worse, being unemployed or working a job you absolutely hate? I have been unemployed for a long while due to on the job injuries and I have friends, two in particular, that are always b i t c h i n g about how bad their job sucks and that they hate it. Several months ago I would listen to their complaining, but as of late, it has become quite tiresome.

Not to mention my financial situation has gotten worse so I filed for chapter 7 and included my house since I lost so much on it last couple of years.

What is worse to you?????

I would have to say being unemployed if finances are a problem or will become a problem is worse then working a job you hate. At least then you have a pay check.

That's my feeling as well. My friends are oblivious to this as they are whining and crying to an unemployed man from no fault of his own.

you work at the job you hate until you find the job you want or love. If you can't find it your just not trying hard enough.

At this age there is no quitting a job you hate. One of the most important things about being an adult is not quitting a job unless you have another one lined up.

Unless their are extreme cases (injuries, harrassment, etc.)...

Channel your excited feelings into positive thoughts and behaviors. You will attract women by being enthusiastic, radiating energy, and becoming someone who is fun to be around.

At 39 your life is over as a typical American male. Your life will consist of: older chubby women who think they are still 17, spoiled kids who are high maintenance, mortgages, car payments, loans, credit card debt, job security issues, misery, etc. About your only option is to watch football and BBQ, jerk off to Eastern European porn, do things to prove that you love your child, talk politics, visit mega stripclubs, fly your flag, wish you were back in college, and maybe find religion (as long as it isn't Islam...Jews won't let you into their club unless your Momma was a Jew...so Jesus it is).

The foreign (non-Anglophile) model is to chase after girls your daughter's age, remain married, do nothing around home, and attend sporting events that result in riots. I can't forget dressing up in over priced jeans and hooded jackets.

39 year old dudes often shoot up their places of work in America. Sad, but true. In other lands they just disrupt basketball games by getting on top of the basket. Hey, at least nobody gets hurt.

Ouch, man, I have nothing to look forward to in life!!! Truth being told is this: Dating women at my age is becoming a huge pain in the royal a$$ though. I will give you that much BigJimbo! Since I filed chapter 7 and included the house, no more mortgages, loans, credit cards.

I'll never be in either of those two groups. I love my job and if it ever goes sour, I have all the knowledge and will to start my own business. I'm just learning so far.

It's really hard for me to say that I hate or love my job.

I'm a web designer for a local government website. Pretty simple job. I spend most of the day playing games, watching episodes of Psych or reading tech news.

I complete everything my boss tells me to do within minutes so I have a lot of spare time during work hours. I also get access to the food closet which is a massive storage room of junk food.

Is it even a choice? I don't like either one of my jobs, but how am I supposed to feed myself and pay bills etc. without them?

Ahh, the life of a government employee.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

I really hope not. That is pretty depressing. However I love football and BBQ - what's the problem there?

BigJimbo's full of shyt. I know 45 year olds that slay playboy playmates. As for work... In this economy, you take what you can get. We dont have the luxory of holding out for a better job anymore. Wages are getting lower and lower, and unemployment is getting higher and higher. Im stuck in a shytty job that doesnt pay a whole lot, but its SLIM PICKINS for work, so I stick around. You gotta survive first and foremost.

If you want it, you will go and get it.

I had very little experience as a college graduate. I also did not have a good gpa. I didn't let any of this get to me. I worked as a temp, built up my experience, worked on my interviewing skills, worked on private projects, entered in business competitions, in less than a year i made a lot of progress.

I got the job i wanted. I was the number pick over many applicants in which a lot of them had masters degree's and i had an unrelated major to my job.

1.) Do what you must to survive.
2.) Just because you're surviving doesn't mean you stop there. Work on bettering yourself.
3.) If you have time to think about getting a better job, go do something productive instead.
4.) Bang out your resume and cover letter. have it torn apart. There are always improvements and ways to word things better.
5.) Apply like there is no tomorrow. I never had much down time to relax, so my relax time i played xbox360 while i applied for jobs.

I'd be playing nazi zombies and watching my window(zombie window) while i applied for jobs. It was tough multi tasking and i did get downed multiple times which pissed my team mates off but I got the job done.

better having a job that you hate, because every woman has somewhat of a gold-digging side to them

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

And this is also what I am finding out trying to date being unemployed. I am unemployed because of an on the job injury, not because I am sorry. But I still have the stigma of being an unemployed loser. Obviously it is putting a damper on my self esteem.

Well if you're job totally sucks and it only pays minimum wage, I think that's worse than collecting unemployment. It depends on the pay scale. Right now I'm working a job that kinda sucks, but it pays $40/hr. Obviously I'd take my job any day over unemployment. But I'm probably gonna get liad off in the next 6 months so I'll get to see both sides of the coin.

As long as it's not manual labor
Huh? Manual labor is what BUILT this country. We've shipped most of it overseas so we can remain fat and happy shlepping behind some desk all day being lazy.

How does staring at a computer screen all day actually accomplish anything?

We've lost our sense of hard work in this country. Go build something.

Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.
