A girl drops the "I have a boyfriend line" -- what does that mean?

I'm thinking it means she realizes I'm flirting, but she's taken right now so she can't do anything. Not necessarily a bad thing, since I was just practicing and flirting is something that I usually don't think I do enough of.

Either:

1. I have a boyfriend, literally.
2. I'm not interested in you.
3. I'm not attracted to you.
4. Get lost!
5. This is a test of your masculinity.
6. You look like you have little to offer.
7. I have a better deal waiting for me.

If #'s 2, 3, 6, & 7 are false, the girl really won't bring up a boyfriend.

There are more, I'm sure. But what you need to do is stop worrying about whatever the f**k it means and come up with some witticisms for when you hear this line.

"Oh cool, he can cook us breakfast in bed!"
"I'm not interested in him, I'm interested in you!"
"I just met you and you're already calling me your boyfriend."
"Good, he gets to hear us passionately make love and try to learn something."

There is also a big ass thread on this in the archive.

Case closed.

Got another one for you....just start singing Pleasure P's "Boy friend number 2" out of no where. ( I've used it with success) :).
Just be like.....

"I can be boyfriend number 2,
Cause the first one he don't really seem like he know what to do"

I'm hesitant to bring this up as I love to use it, but...

Girl: I have a boyfriend.

Me: Don't worry about that. I'm really not the jealous type.

A girl letting you know she has a boyfriend is actually doing you a favor. She saw signs that you were flirting with her and let you know from what direction you should game. I can't tell you how many times I've dated girls who have boyfriends but some how never mentioned it. I really don't like being played by girls and when they drop the ball and you and the b/f meet up "accidentally" or what not, dude usually wants to fight. I don't need that drama.

When a girl says she has a boyfriend up front, at least she's taken a step to being honest with you from the get go. How you proceed from that point is a debate in itself. I personally don't believe in spending all that much time with girls who have boyfriends because if I'm not having sex with her then what the f*ck am I doing with her? I'm sure as hell not listening to her relationship issues and what not without a hefty pay check or some kind of compensation. If I do end up hooking up with her then I've willingly thrown myself into the drama cycle of her transitioning from what ever relationship she had with her now ex to doing things my way. 99% of the time I'll only hang out with a girl who has a boyfriend if she's sexually charged and isn't interested in seeing me again after we've handled business...cause I sure as hell won't be interested in here afterward either.

To be honest I just ignored it and kept doing what I was doing, I don't think she was lying but it was an obvious name drop. Probably she realized I was flirting and decided to make sure I knew, but that's good. I usually come of as an innocent cute kinda guy so the fact that she noticed I was trying is definitely a step in the right direction.
